Pinelands Athletic Club Road Race – Notice of Power Outage on Race Day

The City of Cape Town has announced planned essential maintenance and upgrades to its power infrastructure in Pinelands and surrounding areas. As a result, there will be no electricity available at the Pinelands Athletic Club on Sunday.

We have made contingency arrangements to ensure lighting at the clubhouse and at the race day registration area.

Please note that the surrounding roads and parking areas will be without lighting. For your safety, and that of others, we strongly recommend that you take extra caution and bring a headlamp or torch for use before the race.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

🏃‍♂️ New Race Alert: Fast, Flat, and Scenic! 🌊

Looking for your next running goal or need to nail that Comrades or Two Oceans qualification? We’ve got you covered.

The 2026 Pam Golding Hangklip Marathon & Half-Marathon is officially locked in for Sunday, 25 October 2026. Presented by Hangklip Athletics Club, Raceday Events, and BMEvents (the team behind the False Bay 50), this race is designed to be beautiful, flat, and fast. (And yes, "flat" means your legs might actually forgive you afterwards).

The Details:
📅 Date: Sunday, 25 October 2026
⏰ Time: 06h30
📍 Venue: Kleinmond Picnic Spot, Western Cape
📏 Distances: 42.2km & 21.1km

The Route:
The scenic marathon route takes you along the stunning coastline, past the Palmiet River, and through Betty's Bay to the Hangklip dunes before heading back. Half-marathon runners will enjoy the same spectacular coastal views, just with an earlier turnaround point.

Standard warning: The scenery is beautiful enough to distract you, but try to keep your eyes on the road.
