Help get me to the Karoo! 🚲🌵

As the weekend training rides get longer and the December goal of riding 400km to the Karoo gets closer, I’m starting to pull together the gear needed to actually survive the journey!

Because this is a grassroots mission, before I go out and buy anything new, I wanted to put a call out to the community. If any of my fellow cyclists (or ex-cyclists!) have any of this gear sitting in a garage gathering dust, I would be incredibly grateful to borrow it, buy it secondhand, or gratefully accept it as a sponsorship for the ride.

The Karoo Mission Wishlist:
Bike Bags: Saddlebags, frame bags, or panniers (needs to fit a mountain bike frame!)

Spares: Inner tubes and patch kits

Tools: A portable bike pump and a cycling multi-tool

Visibility: Front and rear rechargeable bike lights (and power banks to keep them charged on the road)

Clothing: A high-visibility windbreaker or cycling gilet

Hydration: Extra-large water bottles or a hydration pack

Training Ride 4 - Rained Out!!! I was forced to turn back! Managed to get to the top of Constantia Nek.

Also, club duvet was full this morning because No one pitched up to join the ride! That is poor, very poor!
