The goal of parenting isn’t to remove every obstacle from our teenager’s path.

It’s to help them develop the confidence and skills to overcome those obstacles themselves.

That often starts with the conversations we have every day.

The questions we ask can either create pressure or invite responsibility.

When we shift from checking up on our teens to coaching them through challenges, we’re helping them build independence, resilience, and self-belief - qualities that will serve them long after school is over.

Sometimes the smallest change in our approach has the biggest impact.

One of the greatest privileges of coaching is creating a space where young people feel safe enough to be heard, understood, and empowered to speak up for themselves.

When a student learns to communicate openly, express how they feel, and have difficult conversations with confidence, those skills extend far beyond the classroom.

This is why I do what I do. 🤍
