Don’t mind me over here, feeling more powerful than ever.

A quick thanks/update!!

I am so lucky to have so many supportive people in my day-to-day. It's not even necessarily friends/family - but members of the community who are showing respect and recognition.

Stepping out of my comfort zone is something I got "comfortable" doing a VERY long time ago. And - so much change has happened within the last year - I feel like a different person!

I've had this belief for a long time, that this is how "growth" happens. Getting comfortable being uncomfortable. It's true in fitness, in education, through personal/behavioural change and especially in career development.

Learning to drive (again) too - that was a bit uncomfortable at first - but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It feels like freedom.

If it seems like I'm pushing this concept of self-liberation - it's because I definitely am.

Go out there and chance your dreams because they are out there waiting for you.

Turn your sound ON for a quick breakdown!

Let’s get one thing straight: Your tracker works for you. You do not work for your tracker.

If your wearable tech or calorie counting apps are starting to make you feel like you’re constantly failing, it’s time to change how you look at the screen.

Data is a compass, not a cage!

When you treat biometric data like a compass, it simply guides your direction. It spots the trends, but YOU make the final call based on how your body actually feels.

Obsessing over every single calorie, macro gram, sleep cycle, or performance metric is a recipe for disaster because it distracts you and isn’t helpful. Especially if your goals are relatively simple.

Date should be used as a tool for self-awareness - not a source of self-criticism.

I often ask clients to track their nutrition (initially) because it helps us spot trends, build self-awareness, and connect the dots. But tracking doesn’t have to mean obsession - and it shouldn’t feel like work. It can be as simple as a pen-and-paper log or a quick photo.

We discuss nutrition + sleep + workouts because these are the global areas that I need to consider in order to do my job well.

Literally anyone could benefit when reviewing the numbers to guide them but should ultimately learn how to trust their own biofeedback to process progress and performance.

I’ve had a few members bring forward concerns about muscular imbalances, inactivity or injuries leading to improper movement patterns or pain.
Pain is never appropriate in the gym/studio and modifications are always available

Trusting your instructor isn’t always easy- but over time and consistency, you should be able to relax and bring your best to every class - knowing that you’re going to leave feeling better than when you came in.

If you’ve seen me on the mats at the studio, or we’ve crushed a heavy lifting session here in Stratford - you know I’m all about energy, alignment and pushing the limits. Especially, lately.

But what happens outside the gym doors is where the honest transformation begins. 

I became a holistic nutritionist 12+ years ago because I was personal training and wanted to help my clients beyond the gym floor. Now, as a Clinical Practitioner in Natural Nutrition (CANNP) and a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) - I don’t believe in separating how we move our body from how we fuel. These are simply two halves of the same whole. 

Whether I’m guiding you through: a fiery class  , a heavy lifting program , or sitting down one-on-one for private nutrition counselling to heal your metabolism from the inside out - my goal is to give you the exact tools you need to build sustainable, high performance health.
