NO EXTRA TIME! Two of our directors, Christopher and Ben, played alongside one of London’s Deputy Mayors for and welcometrust yesterday at Fulham Football Club

Extreme heat is already affecting sport around the world. From grassroots pitches to major tournaments, rising temperatures are changing how, where and when sport can be played. No Extra Time brings together voices from football, climate, health and culture to raise awareness of this challenge and inspire action.

Nobody should be left out of football, everybody should have access to something that plays a big role in British culture. Not everyone feels welcome, feels safe, or feels the environment belong to them. The MFSA are here to change that.

What a night to remember! The MFSA was proud to support on their first ever watch-along as the Gunners made history reaching the UEFA Champions League Final.

A huge thank you to the London Islamic Cultural Society and Mosque (LICS), also known as the Wightman Road Mosque, for opening their doors and making this incredible community event possible.

This is what community is about. We show up together, we feel every moment together, and we’ll be back together next season.

To everyone who came out, you made this special!

From everyone at the MFSA, we wish you a blessed Eid Al-Adha.

As Mo Salah leaves the Premier League, we look at his impact beyond the game.

Mohamed Salah has had a major impact on the reduction of Islamophobia in Liverpool, a study has revealed.

The study, “Can Exposure to Celebrities Reduce Prejudice? The Effect of Mohamed Salah on Islamophobic Behaviors and Attitudes” was conducted by the Immigration Policy Lab at Stanford University, in the United States.

It found the number of hate crimes in the Merseyside area had fallen since Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017.

Over the last two years there were 18.9 per cent fewer hate crimes than predicted, and a 53 per cent fall in anti-Muslim tweets among Liverpool fans.

One thing in football is NOT up for debate…

According to there has been a four-fold increase in Islamophobia, which also rose from the 22-23 season, which risks leaving Muslim communities feeling excluded from football and other sports.

It’s time to feel included, seen included and be included.
