What an amazing finish!

After stage 4 of the MDS Legendary which totalled 100km!!!

Our own head coach, Dean has just finished stage 5, racking up another 42.5km!!!

We are all so proud of his achievements and wish him the best of luck for the last stage tomorrow! 🥳🏃‍♂️🏜️

3 DAYS TO GO!! 🏊🏻‍♀️🥳🏊🏻‍♀️

Not long to go until our swimmers will be taking on the ‘Swim Des Sables’ challenge in support of head coach Dean Baker competing in the legendary Marathon Des Sables!!🏜️

The club will be swimming towards a 100 length goal whilst raising money for Race Against Dementia🔵⚪️

While many local people are taking part in the Hastings Half Marathon on Sunday 22 March 2026, swimmers from local swimming club 1066 Swimmers in Bexhill-on-Sea will be taking on their own endurance challenge in the pool to support a valued member of their coaching team.

From the Sahara to the Swimming Pool – Our Swim Des Sables Challenge!

While many runners take part in the Hastings Half Marathon on 22 March, our swimmers at 1066 Swimmers will be taking on their own endurance challenge in the pool.

As part of Swim Des Sables, swimmers will tackle 100 lengths in two hours, supporting Head Coach Dean Baker as he prepares for the legendary Marathon Des Sables

Dean is raising money for Race Against Dementia and the whole club is getting behind him! 💙
