Mark your calendars for our Columbus Day Softball Defense & Skills Camp on Monday, October 12th at the Aurora Sports Dome!

Join Coach JR Veliz for two hours of focused defensive work and skill development designed to help players sharpen their fundamentals and build confidence on the field.

⭐ Ages 8–11: 8:45–10:45 AM
⭐ Ages 12+: 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
⭐ $75 per player
⭐ Open to players from ALL organizations

🎁 BONUS: Every player who registers will receive a black Veliz Trained visor + white Veliz Trained wristband!

What a way to close out the Summer Hitting Series! 🔥⚾️🥎

Friday’s final session brought 20 hitters into the cage for a Complete Hitter Evaluation — and the energy couldn’t have been better! 💥

Each player went through an individual, professional-style hitting assessment modeled after the type of evaluation used at the college and professional levels. It was a chance for every hitter to get an honest look at their game, recognize their strengths, and identify where they can continue to grow. Each player also left with a detailed written assessment completed by Coach JR Veliz, giving them individualized feedback they can take with them and continue to build on.

And then we finished the summer the only way we could… with a four-team wiffle ball game that absolutely brought the house down! 😂🔥 The energy, laughs and excitement were the perfect ending to an awesome summer.

Over the six-part series, we had so many players come through the cage — some for one session, some for several — and every session brought a different focus, a different group and a new opportunity to get better.

A huge THANK YOU to every player and family who joined us at any point this summer. You made this series what it was.

This may have been the last one of the summer, but it definitely won’t be the last series. 👀

Great swings, great competition, and even better energy! ⚾️🥎 These videos capture what you don't always see in pictures—the intensity, the excitement, and how much fun the players had. The wiffle ball game to finish the day was definitely a highlight!

We'll wrap up the summer on 8/7 with our Complete Hitter Evaluation. Hope to see you there! 💥💪

The players brought the energy from start to finish, competed hard, encouraged each other, and got better with every round. That's the kind of competitive, positive atmosphere we strive for! 💥

Thank you to all the players and families for another great day!

What a blessing and a true full-circle moment

Being able to run a camp and coach young athletes who play on the same fields where I grew up playing baseball means more than I can put into words. Those fields helped shape my love for the game, and it's incredibly rewarding to now have the opportunity to give back by helping the next generation develop their skills and confidence.

A huge thank you to the Aurora Starz 11U Baseball team for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. This group has so much potential, worked hard, and showed what being great teammates is all about. I had a great time working with these players and hope to see them again soon!

Keep working, keep competing, and keep chasing your goals. ⚾💪
