Entertaining end to end encounter for our last game of the season.
Newbiggin took an early lead when we gave them too much space on the edge of our box after just 10 minutes.
5 minutes later Sluice equalised when a great ball forward from Erskine split the oppositions defence and was comfortably finished by Graham.
The away team then took the lead on 25 minutes when McCann coming in from the right put the ball into the top left corner.
Cresswell continued to press and scored to make it 2-2 at half time.
Both teams had chances throughout the second half but Sluice went 3-2 up on 65 minutes when a cross from
E. Custance was met by Pattinson who slotted home. The home team pulled level again not long after and the match continued to go from box to box. Another great ball from McCann put Graham through to fire home the winner on 80 minutes. Both teams continued to create chances in the last 10, with Wilson hitting the post just before the final whistle.
Great team effort today from the Sluice and congratulations to Astin on getting a brace and both motm’s.

Sluice started brightly so were unlucky to go 1-0 down early in the first half.
A weighted cross by McKenna was met by S.Graham who put a well placed header beyond Benfield’s keeper to make it 1-1.
McKenna made it 2-1 to the home team with a great strike after 65 mins and Sluice held on to the lead till the final whistle despite some late pressure from Benfield.

Well done to McKenna alway busy in the middle, setting up Sluice’s first goal and bagging the winner 👏

Well done to Pattinson for a battling display in a physical game. Helping out the defence when needed and linking up well with the front line. 👏

Quite an even 1st half with both teams playing well but having limited chances.

Seaton Sluice took the lead early on in the second half with a strike from Watson. They continued to press for the remainder of the game with a great long range effort from Taylor giving the home team a 2-0 lead.
A. Graham made an immediate impact when coming on by putting in a nice weighted pass for Wilson who finished in style to make it 3-0.

Great overall performance today, with Sluice being strong and physical at the back, working hard and winning the midfield battle and always looking dangerous up top.

Well done to Sam Taylor who never stopped in the middle and along with McCann and Dockey dominated the midfield. Topped off with a great strike and great goal. 👏

Well done to Rhys McCann who gave a great battling performance and won possession time and again to set off our attacks. 👏👏

Probably our best team performance to date - well done everyone.!!
