That’s the only way to describe Mr. Stanek’s homeroom’s complete and utter dismantling of the other 7th grade homerooms in this weeks homecoming competitions. Their victories were as follows:
Girls Powder Puff-1st Place 🥇
Boys Volleyball-1st Place🥇
Door decoration-1st Place🥇

These victories came only as a surprise to those who don’t know any better.

The secrets out about our summer training! Rocky had the chicken, Aquinas wrestling trains with pigs!

Reid Nicklay, Lincoln and Porter Stanek didn’t get the pig in the barrel in the 30 second time limit, but you can’t say they didn’t have fun!

Thursday marked the last day of our summer open mats! We had a great summer with fantastic numbers and excellent energy at each practice.

Thanks to Tyler Goebel for being our summer clinician and sharing his knowledge and passion for the sport with our grapplers!

Great opportunity for our Aquinas grapplers and all area wrestlers up at the La Crosse Area Wrestlers LAW facility!

Luke Welch is one of the best technicians around and is a great teacher.

It was a great time at the Lacrosse Loggers Baseball game last night!

Our team got a chance to be honored prior to the game and recognized for last seasons accomplishments and we got a chance to get together as families, fans, friends and alumni.

I spy wrestling alum Jon Kearney as mascot Louie the Logger!

We recently had 8 of our wrestlers compete at USA Wrestling Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND, the toughest tournament for this age group in the United States.
Martez Sheard, Jacob Penzkover, Alex Penzkover, Reid Nicklay and Lincoln Stanek all competed hard and represented themselves well.
Tyson Martin (2nd place-Freestyle), Tyler Paulson (6th place-Greco Roman) and Lucian Lorenz (7th place-Greco) all earned the right to call themselves “All-Americans” by placing in their respective weight classes. The first time in history we’ve had 3 All-Americans.

We’re proud of all the time and effort these young men put in this offseason to be able to compete at the highest level.
