Weather update.
Wow what a rollercoaster for our first Paparoa Ultra! Not going to lie, last week when seeing this cyclone activity on the forecasts we were not confident on being able to say the race would go ahead. So we apologies for the silence so far during what some of you might be seeing in the forecast. It is changing multiple times a day so it has been a very very tricky one to navigate.
The current forecast is now looking good, with the classic 'it'll fizzle out' phrase. The worst of the wind is looking to be Friday, and the worst of the rain is currently Friday/overnight to early morning Saturday, with potential for it to clear up by the arvo/evening.
Due to the forecast on late Friday, there may be some small last minute logistical amendments but all depending how the forecast continues to play out, which will be announced in the compulsory race briefing on Friday, 6PM.
It's likely going to be a wet West Coast start to Saturday. Make sure to bring your best rain jacket!
See you all at the Barrytown Hall on Friday 👍
