Another SUP race at Marina Reservoir!

Registrations are now open for the 2021 Singapore Mid-Distance Canoeing Championships!

The Championships will be held on 18 & 19 December 2021, 7am to 6pm, at Marina Reservoir.

Registration fees are priced at $25 per pax per category, and $45 per pax per SUP one design category (inclusive of board). Registrations will close on 3 December 2021.

Fancy a 50KM SUP Paddle...Well these three did and conquered the Singapore Canoe Federation's 50KM Paddle Challenge supporting Children's Aid Society.
Local ECP Paddlers Kazuma , Taka and Andrew have been training hard for this grueling 50km Paddle in our relentless Singapore heat.

Huge congratulations on your unreal achievement guys.

Below is a quick summary of their 50km Challenge....

Kazuma & Taka:
Taka (Japanese 49 years old) and I started 50km paddle challenge on 7th FEB. We started to paddle with head light from Aloha at 3AM. As rainy season already ended, we tried to finish 50km paddle before noon (super hot in Singapore).
Every 1 hour, we took energy gel, sometimes rice ball, and banana. Such long hours paddle and almost same scenery is not exciting but we keep pushing together. Finally we completed it with 7 hours (without rest time).
If paddle alone, I couldn’t make it. I feel so long hours and really tired.
Actually My Garmin start mistake, we paddled 52km… 😊

Andrew : With a great support team and friends to cheer me on it was a tough but great paddle, one to remember. Singapore is a great place to paddle.
Understanding the tides, currents & wind is always crucial, especially for such a long paddle. Route and strategy planning was key.

Congratulations to all of the Aloha paddlers who participated in the Virtual M20 yesterday..25km.. in heat.. side wind ..and head on currents. Always a treat !!!
