What a season it has been for our girls! 🙌

Our current U12s have had an absolutely fantastic season, growing in confidence, developing their rugby and, most importantly, building an incredible team spirit. 💪

Now, as they move into their U13s and their first competitive season, the girls are ready to take that success to the next level. We’re looking to build on everything they’ve achieved so far and continue developing this fantastic group of young players.

💛TWO TEAMS. ONE DRIG FAMILY. 🖤

Tonight was something a little different as our U11s and U12s teams came together for a special Bank Holiday training session at AGOGE Performance Gym. 🏉💪

Although these are two separate teams with their own seasons, challenges and journeys ahead, tonight they put that aside and joined forces to train as one and it was brilliant to see! 🔥

From the very first drill, the girls were supporting, encouraging and pushing one another, showing exactly what being part of the Drig family is all about. 🤝💛

There was plenty of ball-in-hand work, developing skills, communication and teamwork, before moving on to learning some new tackling techniques and challenging themselves to improve. 💥

The effort and attitude from both groups was outstanding, and we couldn’t be prouder watching our girls come together, learn from each other and give everything they had.

Two teams may wear different age-group labels, but tonight they trained with one purpose, one attitude and one team spirit. 🖤💛

Twelve years old and growing strong,
With rugby memories all year long.
A smile that shines from ear to ear,
Bringing plenty of fun and cheer.

With a rugby ball tucked under her arm,
She brings to the team her own special charm.
Always ready to give things a go,
With plenty of spirit wherever we go.

With rugby league running through her heart,
She’s always ready for her part.
Whether running, passing, tackle or play,
She gives her best in her own way.

She’s never scared of getting stuck,
And that alone deserves some luck!
She’ll take on challenges, big or small,
And keep that smile through it all.

Well done girls 👏 That's what its all about, getting those extra little sessions in 🖤💛

🏉💪 Monday Night Training! 💪🏉

What a session tonight! The girls headed over to AGOGE Performance Gym for something a little different, where they learnt some new tackling and grappling techniques and really put themselves through their paces! 🔥

We were also joined by three of our U12 girls, who were keen to get some extra practice in and it was fantastic having them along! 👏

One of the best things to see tonight was the girls who would usually shy away from tackling really getting stuck in. Watching them overcome that hesitation, bring down their teammates and realise “I can actually do this!” was absolutely priceless. 💪❤️

Seeing their confidence grow throughout the session was a huge reminder that it’s not just about the skills on the pitch it’s about building confidence, resilience and believing in yourself.

Brilliant effort from everyone tonight! We’re so proud of you all. 🏉🖤💛

The Smallest Scoot-er with the Biggest Heart 🏉🖤💛

Five years ago, when you were just seven,
You joined the club and found your place,
And now at twelve, you’re still out there,
With that determined little face!

The smallest player on the team,
But never small in heart,
And when you get that ball in hand,
You’re ready for the start.

You might not always fancy tackles,
And that’s absolutely fine,
But give you space and watch you scoot
You’ll leave them all behind!

A little step, a burst of speed,
You dart and weave and go,
Like a rugby league rocket
That’s impossible to slow!

You’re always trying something new,
Always looking to improve,
And even when things don’t go your way,
You find a way to move.

Five years of shirts and muddy boots,
Of training, games and fun,
Of learning, growing, giving more,
And never quite being done.

And then there’s that famous smile of yours…

🏉What a fantastic evening of rugby 🏉

With the summer holidays in full swing, numbers were a little lower than usual—but that certainly didn't affect the energy or effort! Every single girl who came along was outstanding, giving 100% in every drill and getting stuck into everything we threw at them.

To round off the session, we joined forces with our U11s for a match, and what a game it was! There was some brilliant tackling, strong carries, great teamwork, and plenty of smiles. It was fantastic to see the girls encouraging each other and playing with so much confidence and determination.

A special shout-out to the girls from our U10 boys team who came along to join us. They fitted in straight away and were more than happy to show off their tackling skills! Taking on girls two years older than them didn't faze them one bit—they played with confidence, courage, and absolutely no fear. They should all be incredibly proud of themselves! 👏

This is what grassroots rugby is all about—supporting each other, building confidence, making friends, and having loads of fun along the way 🖤💛
