We finally kicked off the new season this past weekend with the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models. We qualified 6th in group B which put us starting outside pole for our heat. We won the heat and started 10th for the race and came home with a hard fault 6th place run! We are excited about our program this year and hopefully will finally find victory lane soon! We finally got to smell smoke tonight and Hobgood Racing is sooo ready to kick off the 2026 season!! We have added another car to the arsonal and we are more than ready to get going! We will be posting pictures of both cars later and thank everyone for their support! If anyone knows me (Meagan) you know I’m late for EVERYTHING! But here I am! This week has been full of birthdays and back to school so of course I’m behind. Lancaster on Saturday unknowingly became the hotspot. With every local track being rained out, Lancaster had at least 20+ drivers in each division. It was a fun night but a LONG night! We had a bad qualifying run, but had a top 10 car for most of the night with some tough competition. We finished 13th with an unharmed racecar. We have a brand new car and with that comes a learning curve, so please be patient with us because we are getting there!! But above all, we could not do what we love every week without our sponsors!! Tonight was a fun race honoring a legend, Mr. Clyde Norwood! Hate we couldn’t bring home the win, but congratulations to my friend Mr. Mike Huey. 4th wasn’t bad against some tough competition. And thank you again to all of our sponsors!

We were having a great run last night. Qualified 4th and made it to the top round qualifiers. Then the bottom of the cloud fell out. Another rainout, but we were coming! I apologize on being behind on updates lately, but we’ve been busy getting the new car ready. Last night was a fun night at Sumter Motor Speedway. We started and finished 11th but it was a good race with a lot of great cars. I just want to say thank you for everyone that came to watch, support us, and especially for all the help! We will see y’all again at Lancaster on June 7th with the Blue Ridge Outlaws.
