Sometimes 3 meals a day just doesn't cut it. And sometimes dinner goes in the F**k It Bucket 'cause it's late, and there's nothing in the fridge. Lean on these bad boys to help satisfy your tingling little taste buds ✨️

1. Hummus - a s**t tonne of flavours, and fibre. Pair with rice crackers, celery or carrot sticks.
2. Popcorn - buy it ready to eat or make your own and choose your sweet or salty vibe (both. Always both)
3. Why is it that chopped up fruit + vegetables are way more appealing than the whole thing? If you're a smart-arse you can buy your stuff and prep it so its ready for those days when time isn't on your side. Watermelon 😋, cucumber or capsicum strips (that's pepper for you English pals), celery. Literally whatever, have it ready and you're way more likely to eat it than let it be forgotten and rotten in 6 weeks time, stinking out your fridge.
4. Seaweed. Love it or hate it? Very, very good for you and so so yum.
5. Cherry tomatoes, frozen grapes or blueberries. Something about little balls of joy 🤭
6. Pickles. Whole. Out the jar. No more to be said.
7. Deez nuts 🥜 I know, I know, "but they're fattening" blah blah blah. Truth is, they're a damn sight better than that share bag of Doritos. Healthy fats yo. Get 'em in ya.

You know what? Throw all this s**t together and you've got yourself a fine little platter there.

Weight loss is the main reason people contact me for help. To support this goal my mission is to help reframe, from focussing on scale weight to ACTUAL weights (what can we lift) and feeling fitter, stronger and more confident. But the reality is people want to shift body fat, and food plays a huge part in our success rate. Here’s a few sneaky ways to help reduce your overall calorie intake, they all add up to making a big difference!

1️⃣ Measure oils, spreads and dressings. The old free pour method is more than you think! These kinds of add-ons are usually pretty calorie dense and paying attention, shifting to a measured approach like tablespoons / teaspoons may drastically reduce consumption.

2️⃣ Look at your liquid calories. Alcohol, your daily flat white or can of coke… What can you reduce or swap out for lower calorie options?

3️⃣ If you don’t track your food (and you don’t have to in order to be successful) a handy guide is palm / fist / thumb. Protein first (palm), then starchy carbs, then fats (thumb) - your fancy bits - dressings and sauce etc. THEN load up on a s**t tonne of low calorie fruits or veges. Haven’t you heard fibre is the new protein?

4️⃣ PAUSE. Chew your food people! And before you jump into seconds and that massive tub of ice cream, give yourself 20 minutes to see if you actually need it. Our bodies need time to process what we’ve just eaten. And if after you’ve waited you really, really still want it? Portion it before you inhale the lot.

5️⃣ If you’re just winging it you’re setting yourself up to fail. Spend 20 mins a week writing down what you wanna eat, and prep what you can in advance so when the motivation is on its arse, most of the hard work is already done and you won’t give UberEats all your money.

6️⃣ Finally, a brisk 10 minute walk after meals aids digestion and counts towards your daily steps! Grab the dog (or your headphones) and go for a boost around the block!

✨️ Save this and let me know if you try any of them ✨️

I’m not prepping because I love organisation (well tbf I do, a lot). I’m doing it because decision fatigue is reeeall at the mo.

7 jars. Dry ingredients done. Future me just has to add a couple of bits in the morning and move on with her life.

Why this matters (especially for women our age):
- Mornings can be hectic
- Skipping breakfast = blood sugar chaos later
- “Why am I eating crackers over the sink at 3pm?”

This takes the pressure off. No tracking. No perfection. Just one less decision in a week full of them.

I have the same thing every day, unless I know I've got time to think about it and fancy a change. Here's what's in my smoothie:
Oats for slow energy. Protein for muscle + metabolism. Creatine (optional but great if you’re strength training, and you should be!). Chia + flax for fibre, hormones + gut support.
Then each day I chuck in some soy milk, frozen fruit and veges (spinach or cauliflower - trust me 😄). Bam.

Set yourself up so you don’t have to fight yourself every day. Prep once. Feel calmer all week.
