How has 2022 been for you so far?

With January's first week gone by, have you had time to reflect, assess and just breath?

Is there any energy you wish to take with you in this new year and any that you are definitely leaving behind?

Words carry energy, feeling and motion. Every year we get a chance to reflect on the past, live in the moment and dream about the future. This year we’ve decided to ask you 3 bold questions as we wrap up the year and bring in the new one.

Comment below:
For 2022, I'm leaving behind ________.

_Two friends. Who started a journey together!_

**Was this a bad idea?*
**How did we navigate working remotely?*
**Are we still friends?*
We decided to take the plunge and start a business together and then a pandemic hit.

*-->Well here is an update from us.*

✔️To start, It was definitely not a bad idea!!
**We have coached more of hours than both of us can remember!*
**We setup a successful course that supported 12 black entrepreneurs*, _they have gone on to do some incredible work in their respective fields._
**We have setup a mother’s coaching program* _that has been exciting to see flourish._

✔️Working remotely was challenging, we are not gonna lie. _This was a challenge not because we needed to be near each other to do our work; but because we both love each-others company._

⁉️How did we go from *working out together*, to going for *dinners* to *zooms calls* and *more zoom calls.*
So are we still ?
*Of course we are!*
We have always said that our friendship is important and as we grow as friends and business partners *we grow as a stronger unit.*

We could not have said it better!!! So taking it from herself:
👉👉👉 Everything is Figureoutable!

I saw her back in 2019 and would love to recommend her book!
♥️ Samira⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

"[...] The point of the book is to activate and AMPLIFY the intrinsic power and intelligence YOU already have! It’s similar to Glinda saying, “You had the power all along, my dear.” (which I know is not the accurate quote from the movie 🍿— let’s stick with the sentiment, k 👌🏻)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I PROMISE you. You *already* have what it takes to transform or transcend ANY challenge you face. When in doubt, put your hand on your heart, close your eyes and repeat “Everything is Figureoutable. Everything is Figureoutable. Everything is Figureoutable.” Of course, you can click your heels together too. 👠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you [...] and ALL of the participants for taking Everything is Figureoutable to the next level this week!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tag at least 4 👯‍♀️ of your favorite friends 👯‍♀️ and remind them that YES, they already have all the power they need. 💗"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Keeping your word to yourself!

Imagine making a promise to a friend or a loved one and braking it because you decided to prioritize someone else. It’s hard to see right?

That feeling of letting someone down.

We take such careful consideration about the promises we make to friends and loved ones, yet I’ve seen a lot of us break promises we’ve made to ourselves.

It seems that it’s harder to keep the promises you’ve made to yourself, than it is to keep your promises made to others.

When we decide that we are not a priority for that moment we are actively making a choice to put our growth, our healing and our life on hold.

I know, it sounds selfish and in my own life I struggled with prioritizing my wants and desires for a very long time. It was only when I saw the benefits of keeping those promises I made to myself I decided to shift the priority scale.

Tick one thing off your priority list today and see how you feel.

Love Samira ❤️

Wake up, Slay & Repeat 🔁 (🔊🔉🔊 Audio!)

Despite the global pandemic, we all have achieved something!
It can simply be taking the days one step at a time, finding a new job, or getting your kids through homeschooling.

✔️ Achievement comes in different forms, and we should celebrate them all.

✔️ Take a moment, breath, enjoy the fruits of your labour and then get back to it...

✔️ Wake up, Slay & Repeat, You got this 💪🏽

💛 Love your girl, Samira

Celebrating International Women's Day by saying thank you to the women who influenced us!

Big shout out to the women who coached us and encouraged us to start our coaching journeys - without them we wouldn’t have had the courage to be who we are today ❣️

3 Qualities to be highly noticeable and land that dream job!

☑️ BE YOU. Don’t try to please and fit into all their boxes!
💡They want to see you and what you can bring to the role.

☑️ BE CONFIDENT. Try and think positively, your thoughts colour how you converse and answer their questions!
💡You passed the CV stage, they want to see you. Own it 😉

☑️ BE COMMUNICATIVE. Do you know the 7 Cs?
💡Clear, Concise, Concrete (give people a solid picture in mind), Correct, Coherent, Creative, Cortuous,

✅ And as a bonus tip, tell your story! Don't just chronologically list your experience or generalise your past... You can be memorable and captivate by being a storyteller!

3 Tips to help you shine and land that dream job!

While there’s no "one magic combination" that will make you be picked instantly, you can optimize your application by adjusting a few things to help you stand out!

✅ 1. Tailor your C.V to the business and role.
💡It's easy to fall into the copy-paste option, but you can shine if you tweak your resume so that the skills you possess that are required for the role are easy to spot.

✅ 2. When writing about your work experience:
✔️Keep it concise (3-5 points)
✔️Always include what you have achieved first.
💡Explain what you have acquired and learned through the experience. Do not just list off your responsibilities and duties.

✅ 3. Give a summary of your experience in the way ONLY YOU can!
✔️Be authentically you
✔️Give your thoughts and impressions and your achievements in your own words!
💡Only you know what you lived through and are proud off! If you aren't your #1 fan, than who else would that be? 😉

☑️ BONUS tip!! Have someone proofread your CV.
✔️Check for typos and spelling errors
✔️Edit awkward sentences, double words and bizarrely placed punctuation marks
💡Even though mistakes are natural, putting your best foot forward in an application will leave a positive impression!

The first 90 Days by MIchael D. Watkins

A great book for a leader in transition - whether you are entering a new role within your current company or a new one. A really helpful book to help you reflect on previous experience and prepare for a new one. It's certainly helped me plan for my new roles

What do you use to prepare for a new job?
