The World Stone Skimming Championships are held annually in September on Easdale Island on the West Coast of Scotland.

Last year just under 2.5 thousand people attended the championship.

400 Skimmers Competed representing 27 different countries

85% attendees came from outside of Argyll and Bute
35% came from outside Scotland
13% from outside of the UK

85% stayed at least one night away in local accommodation
35% stayed in Oban
52% Ate at least one meal in an Oban Restaurant.

The World Stone Skimming Championships are completed run by volunteers with all profits going to charity.

BOOKABLE BUS TRANSFER TO THE WORLD STONE SKIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

The WSSC is delighted to have partnered with local tour company Tartan Tours Oban for this years championships.

Tartan Tours Oban will be providing bus transport from Oban to the Easdale Ferry throughout the day.

Tickets must be booked in advance and are on a first come first served policy.
