INTRODUCTION
The Montessori Child Development Center directs a course of study for one academic year preparing adults to work with children three or six years of age according to the Montessori Method preparing to work with children three to six years of age according to the Montessori principles. This course leads to the Internationally Recognized Primary Montessori which qualifies the graduate to apply the Montessori Method with children between the ages 3 to 6 and be employed as a Montessori Primary classroom teacher. The curriculum includes lectures on the Montessori Philosophy; Psychology (Theory and Practice) supervised demonstrations and practical sessions with the Montessori apparatus, observation and practice teaching in Montessori classroom with Primary Montessori Directors. Lectures include early childhood development and a comparative study of the child, family and community. The relationship between Montessori education and current childhood educational practices is also included. All students are accepted examinations are given by an examination panel selected by the Committee Students reaching a satisfactory standard at these examinations will be awarded the Primary Diploma.
Instruction is on-site with a class size limited to 15 students. The course is conducted from July 2015 until June 2016 each Academic year. The language of the course is in English.
The school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien student. English proficiency is required and will be determined by personal interview, written documentation and/or a TOEFL examination. Every student needs to do this test who are coming from foreign countries.
Prospective enrollees are required to visit the physical facilities of the school and to discuss personal education and occupational plans with school personnel prior to enrolling or signing enrollment agreement. The prospective student is required to have an AA or BA degree. Some students may be accepted without a degree depending upon experience, after a personal interview.
The Montessori Child Development Institute Training Center currently does not have available sponsored programs, government or otherwise, to provide grants or to pay for tuition fees.

As of late, there has been a constant focus on early childhood education. High quality learning opportunities for children are constantly being promoted around the globe. This has led to the demand of properly trained and certified preprimary teacher who have a deeper understanding of the learning needs of the young learners and will be ably equipped to keep them engaged and motivated. MCDI’s globally reputed preschool teacher training courses are-
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Diploma in Montessori Teacher Training (MTT), Diploma in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) and Diploma in Primary Infant and Toddler Teaching Training (PPTT) are delivered in a flexible manner giving a unique opportunity to the trainees to learn from home or any place convenient that is suitable for them.
The course material that’s the trainees receive are available in different formats – hard copy and audio visual since the preschool teacher training courses are conducted in both class roam style and distance modes of learning. The course materials provided are relevant and thorough which develop the professional skills of aspiring teachers and reshaping them as confident preprimary teachers. The curriculum of MCDI diploma courses is drawn up keeping in mind today’s classrooms and 21st century learning. Online trainees are given a unique used id and password using which they can access the course materials while the distance trainees will receive the hard copy of course materials in the form of books along with CD’s and DVDs via courier at their designated address in USA.

MCDI brings together a selected student body of highly qualified professional staff. Their purpose is to study in depth Montessori practices at the early Childhood Level for children of 2 ½ years through 6 years of old.
PHASE-I : 12 courses in summer academic experiences beginning in July 2015
PHASE-II : The second on is a 9 months-12 months internship in an approved site under the supervision of a certified Montessori Teacher. One student is required to be on site daily for a minimum of 4 hours a day for 9 months school year.
FINAL EVALUATION : Student-trainers will return to MCDI for a final practical exam & project presentation at the end or the summer following the internship.

Early Childhood Course 2015-2016
Early Childhood Program (2 ½ - 6 years old)
The Program consists of an Academic Phase and Practicum Phase.
The Academic Phase (317 Clock Hours) include Montessori theory and techniques for beginning a Montessori class; and the use, sequence the Montessori didactic materials in all curriculum areas. The Academic alternative with laboratory sessions with the Montessori materials under staff. An additional 16 hours outside of class time will be needed.

Zoology: detailed study of the animal kingdom, exploring animal needs and how they are met. Chemistry introduces basic atomic and molecular theory, elements, compounds and mixtures, and states of matter.

Course # 4 : Geography 1 & 2, and Science Experiment (5 quarter-level graduate credits)
Montessori Geography begins with the universe then moves to the Earth in general, followed by continents, countries, and culture. Classic Montessori hands-on science experiments provide 90 step –by-step activities for curriculum integration.
Course # 5 : History and the Five Great Lesson
A study of the wonder and scope of history and man’s important place in the universe provides a comprehensive view of the history of Earth and Man.
Course # 6 : Math 1/ Advanced Practical Life (5 quarter-level graduate credits)
Complete, detailed instruction for the use of Montessori math materials that cover the four operations; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Montessori’s view of universal connection, especially the view that the Earth must be respected and preserved, leads us to the cosmic task – to help children become adults who strive to achieve a peaceful coexistence in a sustainable environment. This integrated program prepares the educator to set the stage for the development of peaceful, caring citizens.

The Montessori Language Arts’ 1 program looks at crucial concepts such as how to approach unfamiliar words and subjects, how to brainstorm ideas and how to risk and learn, Proven, specific Montessori methodology surrounding spelling, grammar, penmanship, dictionary Skills and poetry are covered in detail.
Course # 12 – Language Arts 2(5 quarter- level graduate credits)
Language Arts 2 covers a through system for teaching compound words, suffix,

DRESS-CODE:
The dress code is casual with professionalism in mind. Adult learners are asked to wear shorts, skirts that are knee length. Tops, pants needs to be modest considering that our time is often spent sitting on the floor. Comfortable shoes are in order. Professionally groomed with little jewelry (not to attract children during presentations & lessons)
