Massive congratulations to our 2015 players Killian, Harry, OisΓ­n and Evan who proudly represented their school Sacred Heart PS Derry in the Derry Cup yesterday.

Stepping up from P6 to compete at P7 level is a huge challenge in itself, but to go on and win the competition is an incredible achievement.

A fantastic accomplishment for everyone involved.

The Gerry McCauley Festival of Games is one of our favourites every year.

Brilliantly run by our friends at Trojans YCG, they always deliver such a fun, well-organised and non-competitive event for the kids, focusing on simply enjoying the game and creating great memories.

A huge congratulations to three of our players β€” Joel, Erin and Riley who received special recognition for their hard work and respectfulness throughout the day πŸ‘

Well done to our 2018 team who represented the club superbly, and many thanks again to Trojans for the invite.

WHAT A WEEK FOR AMBER & Derry & District U14 Select Team 2026.

First and foremost, massive credit and thanks to Christy McGeehan, Roisin, and everyone involved in bringing the Derry & District team together for the second year running. The time, effort, and commitment put into organising extra sessions and matches in preparation for the week in Limerick does not go unnoticed.

Amber travelled to Limerick with the squad on Monday to compete in the SFAI Gaynor Cup, representing the best from across the provinces of Ireland.

On day three, Amber was deservedly named Player of the Match for her outstanding performances and solid defending at left back β€” a fantastic achievement πŸ‘

After a week of hard-fought games, the girls earned their place in the Shield Final, where they faced a strong Roscommon side, narrowly losing out 1–0.

For a team that only had a short time together, the girls were superb throughout and represented the Derry & District League and their town with real pride.

A huge thank you again to everyone involved in organising, coaching, and supporting the girls all week.
