First start in 14 months last night and managed 80 mins. Feeling stiff and sore this morning but I am gradually getting stronger and match fit.

Delighted to announce that I have signed for Sheffield FC in a dual role of assistant manager and player. A club steeped in history, Sheffield FC are the oldest football club in the world and what a great place to start the next leg of my footballing journey. Those who know me best know that my passion for football doesn't end with playing, I love the coaching side of the game and this is hopefully the first step on what will be a successful pathway in my career. I am lucky to have worked with and learned so much from great managers like Nigel Clough, Paul Peschisolido, Gary Rowett and Gary Mills. So keep an eye out for our results and if your free on a Saturday afternoon please pop in and see me and enjoy and game of football.

First full training session done. It has been a long road to recovery, 11 months since rupturing my ACL on my right knee. I feel stronger (mentally and physically) and I want to thank everybody who has supported me over the last year. Special mention goes to my family. Without their constant positive love and enthusiasm I might have chucked the towel in a while ago. Everything feels great although I am feeling very stiff this weekend. What a buzz to get my boots back on and join in fully. Onwards and upwards.!!!!!

Feels great to be back jogging again. Knee is feeling good and the specialist says its all looking perfect!!! Can't wait to get back playing again!
