Scenic guided horseback trail rides in beautiful Kananaskis Country, just a short drive from Calgary. Legendary in the Canadian Rockies, Boundary Ranch brings the real West to life in the spectacular natural beauty of the Kananaskis Valley. Perfectly located between Calgary and Banff, we offer authentic Western adventures surrounded by towering peaks, forest trails, and incredible wildlife. Join us for guided horseback rides or winter sleigh rides and memorable group events. Our rides are led by trained, experienced guides and are suitable for ages six and up, from first timers to experienced riders. All trail rides are at a safe, walking pace, giving guests the chance to enjoy mountain scenery, fresh air, and the serenity of the backcountry. Groups and tours can book BBQs, wagon or sleigh rides, Western entertainment, Wild West rodeos, and more with customizable options available. Our Western Entertainment Centre is open year round and includes banquet facilities, meeting rooms, and a gift shop, with trail riding offered seasonally. We also partner with other top adventure companies through Adventure Hub to offer options like white water rafting and dog sledding, making Boundary Ranch a launch point for unforgettable Rocky Mountain experiences. From the people who keep everything running behind the scenes to the guests who joined us for an adventure, our hardworking team and our four legged crew, there are so many people who make this place what it is.

We're incredibly grateful for another season spent doing what we love in the heart of Kananaskis. Thank you to everyone who visited, worked alongside us, supported us and helped make this year memorable.

Thanks for being part of our 2026 trail riding season! We can’t wait to welcome you back next year or even sooner for a magical winter sleigh ride! Until then, Happy Trails!

Fall in Kananaskis means golden trails, crisp mountain air, beautiful horses and some pretty incredible views!

And we’ve got good news for anyone who isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet…

We’ve extended our final day of trail rides to Monday, October 5th! 🎉

That means a few extra days to get out on the trails and enjoy the Rockies from horseback before the season comes to an end.

Can you spot the first signs of fall? 👀🍂

The Rockies are starting to trade their summer greens for the first touches of gold, and we’re not mad about it.

There’s something pretty special about riding through Kananaskis as summer gives way to fall. Cooler air, beautiful trails, and those little glimpses of colour around every corner. 🐎🏔️
