Quiet reflections…
For the last few days, I have been feeling somewhat anxious and very emotional. Nonetheless, I am very aware of
how many consider me the type of “too sensitive, or too emotional” kind of individual, and I am very honored to be
exactly that!
But back to the subject, and after attributing my extreme emotional state of mind to the last few days and especially
today, I slowed down my regular speed and daily routines to quietly evaluate and integrate my emotions. And that is
exactly what I do whenever anxiety attempts to reach the door. It is always my intuition letting me know something
may be about to happen, or I may learn of something that has happened around me. So what I always do is stop,
evaluate my overall health condition, take a nice walk, feel the breeze touching my face, and make a deep connection
with my higher self.
Sometimes it is something absolutely unexpected, but when I just realized that today precedes the birthday of my first
child who is turning 23 years of age tomorrow, I recognized this feeling of fear and great trauma that comes back
every year on the same day, so I can work on healing it a little more each time.
There is a beauty in deeply knowing and accepting every part of ourselves and being able to look inward, remember,
relive, and reintegrate every piece of ourselves, and understand that healing is an ongoing and endless process.
I am extremely grateful to have been mostly active and healthy throughout my life.
I had an apparently normal physical pregnancy, where nothing wrong was medically detected. But an extremely
abnormal surprise at the time of my first son’s birth. He arrived in this world with a very rare and unusual internal
malformation, and that moment put me through the first of some major tests of faith I had to endure. And it was only today
that I realized how deeply and unconsciously I still carry that trauma. Thankfully, to the Most High God, and for
excellent medical assistance, my baby grew into an amazing young man, strong and healthy.
But my entire point is on how we, and most of us, accumulate known and unknown past emotional traumas. Some
situations are conscious; a lot are unconscious. And healing is possible and available when we recognize and
address them.
That is why it is so important for us to acknowledge, recognize, and heal our wounds and past traumas. Such healing will
directly affect how we relate to ourselves and others. On how we recognize and express our feelings and forgive
ourselves over circumstances which we hold no control over, and mostly avoid mishandling emotions by blaming
others for our own unhealed wounds.
We are all souls that come here to master our evolution here on earth. And self-awareness, and the connection with
our inner-self will allow us to access the necessary tools to discover our deepest wounds, face them without shame,
but with enough self-worth and self-love to be able to reconnect with our inner-child and embrace the beautiful
process of self-healing.
