Senior Men’s first Saturday footy win was against Redcliffe Tigers in a great come from behind win on their dung heap.
Keep this Saturday free as the lads take on Hinterland Blues at home in what will be a winnable game for the boys.
The seniors are proceeded by the Colts vs West’s Juniors and closing out the day is our Div 1 Women’s against Morningside. This will be a ‘Sensational Saturday’ for sure.
Get on down and support your beloved Jags and please invite any past Jags supporters to come along.

Also, share the hell out of this page so we can get as many ‘Old Timers’ enjoying time together as we can.

🏉🏉 SUPER SATURDAY 🏉🏉
We need as many supporters to come on down to make this a fantastic day. Bar and canteen open.

This Saturday starting from 10am all our Senior Teams play their first home fixture of the season.
It is also the first of what we hope to be a recurring day when the senior men and women’s teams face off against Kedron Lions in all grades.
To celebrate this occasion and to amplify the inter club rivalry, the occasion will be marked by the inaugural Mills – Gaydon Charity Shield, which will go to the club that totals the highest aggregate score for the day.
There is a return day at Kedron on Saturday the 13thJuly to kick this concept off in a big way this year.

The Charity Shield is named after true club Legends from each club. For Kedron this is Kelvin Mills. He won the Grogon Medal in 1970. This is the QLD AFL equivalent to the Brownlow Medal.
Kelvin has remained involved with Kedron over the years since he retired and is still involved today.
Jindalee has chosen to honour Bill Gaydon. Bill is a Life member former multi year president and is still heavily involved in the club as club secretary. He is always one of the first at the club on Saturday’s and Sundays to help setup, ground Marshall and assist where required.

At the conclusion of each match between Jindalee and Kedron the 2 coaches will select a best player from the opposing side and present them with a medal.

The Charity Chosen for the day is Act for Kids. During the day we will be holding raffles and also a donation tin to raise some coin for this worthy charity.

Act for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect. We have helped thousands of children and families for over 30 years. Act for Kids operates over 26 centres with a team of over 350 staff from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula. Our services have expanded to include integrated therapy, support for vulnerable families, special workshops to empower kids and safe houses in remote Aboriginal communities.

The first centre bounce of the season for senior men’s yesterday out at Ipswich.
Massive milestone for the Jags and while the results didn’t go our way, a huge triumph for the club to field 5 senior teams.
Hard work, determination and dedication has paid off.
Now it is your turn to get behind the Jags once again and support all that hard work.

Get ready this weekend for Super Saturday starting at 10am with our colts lads and playing right through till the finish with the Jags Div 2 Women’s capping off a huge day at the club.
Absolutely no other club in the western suburbs can offer a full day like that.
Get around it!!!!

G’day Geriatrics,
well now that we have wet your appetite with the Geriatric Jags FB page, we are super excited to offer you all the Geriatric Jags membership offer. This is your opportunity to, once again, come along and support your club and catch up with all our other Geriatrics, spin a few yarns about the old days, partake in a few ales and watch the Jags take on Saturday footy. There will also be some cracking events throughout the year for you to participate in, both in and away from the club itself.
As this is the inaugural year, these memberships are all “Year 1’ memberships where you will receive a member polo and annual cap. Next year there will be cheaper memberships on offer which will be for an annual cap only so you won’t need to continue purchasing polos each year.

We are very proud to announce that the Jags now have in our senior footy space – Colts, Div 3 Reserves Men, Div 3 Senior Men, Div 2 Senior Women’s and Div 1 Senior Women’s. Yep….5 senior footy sides in 2019….how good are the Jags going!!!
Throughout the season we have 3 x “Super Saturdays” where all 5 teams are at home on the same day and a further 4 “Sensational Saturdays” when there are 4 games back to back.

As part of your membership you will receive your apparel pack and there will be a special Geriatric Jags Members area during our “Jags Super Saturdays” and “Jags Sensational Saturdays” just for our Old Timers to mingle and enjoy as their own.

We will send out the draws for all teams shortly and the times and locations for all the Jags away games this weekend as the season gets under way with round 1.

The membership opportunity that will be released shortly will be for anyone who has represented, played for or, through the committee, supported the Jags from day dot till now.
This includes all those masters and supers players who played in a Jags jersey for the years that Souths Sharks utilised Jags as their home ground.
You are part of a proud and rich history at a club that we have all called our tribal home at some stage.
