Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA Development Update

More great work done at the pitch this week.

The drainage works on the main pitch are really taking shape, and the base for the ball wall at the new astro has now been poured.

It’s great to see progress continuing across the campus, with each stage bringing us another step closer to delivering top-class facilities for our players, members and wider community.

To help fund this development, tickets for our €26K for 2026 Draw are now on sale.

This was a close game between two evenly matched teams at of end of the first half we led by 2-7 to 0-09, with our goals coming from John Lenihan and Brian Stack and then in the second half we outscored Kilmallock by 0-10 to 0-09, to give us a win over Kilmallock by five points, and this is our fourth win in the game in the group stages. The table reads as follows: Castletown/ Ballyagran 11 points +27, Monagea 8 points +33, Ahane 8 points +9, St. Patrick’s 8 points -6, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 8 points -6, Kilmallock 5 points -3, Templeglantine 4 points -34, Claughaun 2 points -27.

Kilmallock scored the fist point of the game and then John Lenihan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored a goal with four minutes gone in the game to give us a lead of two points. Kilmallock scored the next point of the game to leave a point between the sides and Damien Burke of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point to leave two points between the sides. Kilmallock scored the next point to leave a point between the sides and then Darragh Stack of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point to leave two points between the sides. Kilmallock scored the next four point to take to lead by two points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-3 of the game with goal coming from Brian Stack with 21 minutes gone in the game to give us a lead of four points and the points came from Rory O’Dell, Damien Burke and Keith Lacey and then Kilmallock scored the next two points to leave two points between sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two points of the first half to leave four points and these points came from Rory O’Dell and Keith Lacey. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-9 to Kilmallock 0-11.

Damien Burke of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the second half to leave five points between the sides and then Kilmallock scored the next point to leave four points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points led by seven points with two of these points came from Brian O’Callaghan and the other point came from Damien Burke and then Kilmallock scored the next eight points of the game to leave a point between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next five points with three of these points came from Keith Lacey and the other points came from John Lenihan and Brian O’Callaghan to give us a five points victory on the day. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-17 to 0-18.

To Limerick Minor Hurlers team led Diarmuid Mullins and the Limerick Minor Hurlers and especially to our club player against Clare, Limerick defeated Clare on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-13, Colin scored a point, in the Electric Ireland All-Ireland Hurling Championship Quarter Final.
