Sawyer ran Port City Raceway last Saturday and went 3-3 in the heat the hard way after getting knocked back to 5th.
He started 12th in the a main and steadily worked his way forward to finish 8th. Getting a little better each time out.
Mattix was sick so he sat out for the weekend

Ride along as Sawyer goes 3-1 last Saturday at Port City Raceway in the B main at the DRC.
He would march forward from 16th to finish 12th in the A main.
Mattix would start the A main 7th and end up 8th.

Friday night Sawyer and Mattix ran restrictor at Port City Raceway for the DRC. The track was heavily juiced up, making passing tough during the heats.

Mattix was able to charge from 7th to 3rd in his heat, earning enough points to end up 2nd overall in passing points heading into the feature.

Sawyer went 7th to 7th in his heat, which put him deep in the B Main lineup. Starting 9th, he worked his way up to 6th and was looking for more when one of those pesky Infield Tractor Tire jumped out in front of him. The contact resulted in a small rollover, and we signaled him toward the work area. Unfortunately, the work area was not open for the B Mains, so he was unable to return to the track, ending his night early.
Mattix got a good start and settled into 2nd for a couple laps but got too loose coming off 4 and spun in front of the field. He was able to keep it rolling but they sent him to the tail for causing a caution. Worked his way back to 9th from the tail.
