It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of long time Event Team Member John Simpson. He passed away this morning after a battle with the terrible ALS disease so we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace.

There is so much to say about John, how he was the heart and soul of the Event Team. How he bled Maize and Blue. How he loved Michigan and all the student-athletes and coaches and fans, and how they all loved him back.

It will take us some time to fully process this loss, but we wanted to share the news as we know many of you had seen the decline in his health over the last few years.

Funeral arrangements are being made at this time and will be shared when ready.

Wear your Maize and Blue in honor of John today, and maybe eat a Twizzler or hot dog for him as well.

Rest in peace, John. We will miss you. 💙💛

We are absolutely heartbroken to share the news that Event Team Member Paul Kizer passed away on Wednesday. He had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met. We will truly miss Paul in the West Tower, at baseball games and everywhere inbetween. Please keep Paul's family and loved ones in your thoughts. 💙💛

We are so excited to introduce the newest member of the OEM family! Crew Garrett Jacobs decided he wanted join the Event Management Team three weeks early, and we are all so in love with him already! Moms Parker and Amber are tired but doing well and loving on their precious little one. We'll be taking volunteers for who gets to teach him how to use his first ticket scanner. 💙💛
