Mit großer Bestürzung und Traurigkeit haben wir von dem Tod des charismatischen Spielers Markus „Makki“ gehört. Noch viel zu jung verlässt uns Makki.
Makki zählte zu den großen deutschen Freestyler der ersten Stunde! Er prägte über Jahre die große Berliner Freestyle Szene und sorgte mit seinem Berliner Style für stimmungsvolle Jams!
Auf etlichen Turnieren gehört er zu den großen Jammern und brachte mit seiner Kenntnis über den Sport und der Freestyle Geschichte viel Erfahrung und Spirit mit. Er lebte den Sport Freestyle Frisbee.
Wir sprechen unser größtes Mitgefühl für die Hinterbliebenen und den Berliner Jammers aus und verdanken Makki die Belebung der Deutschen Freestyle Szene ab 2003 und seine Wertschätzung bei Turnieren und Jams!

Dear Jammers, here's a message from the organizers of FPAW 24:
" Due to questions from players and guests we would like to clarify most important information about FPA Worlds 2024 in Warsaw.

📆 DATE
Date of the event is fixed and confirmed 100%. The event will take place from 14th (Wednesday) to 18th (Sunday) August 2024.
From Wednesday morning to Saturday evening we will have tournament - with all finals played on Saturday. On Sunday we plan "free jams" day and big frisbee event altoghether. You can book your flights to Warsaw and plan your holiday calendar already.
When planning your holiday in Poland remember about SandSlash - our annual big beach ultimate and freestyle frisbee festival - just few days after - from 22nd to 25th August 2024 in Debki, by the polish coast. If we will have a bigger group of participants going to SandSlash we could organise a group bus for freestylers. Sounds awesome right?

✈️ EVENT LOCATION
The place of the event is not fully confirmed (yet). We are working hard to get additional funding and sponsors to rent this particular place. Also, we are planning to rent a gym nearby, so in case of bad weather conditions, everything will be as close as possible. The planned main spot is very close to the city center. We hope to confirm the location as soon as possible.

Very soon (in the next weeks) we plan to launch our event website for players and guests with all the details you need to know about Warsaw and the whole event - like accommodation area suggestions, travel advices, schedule, competition and registration. We advise you to wait to book your accommodation until we launch the website.
