My name is Natalia and I’m a perfectionist.

For most people posting this video would make them feel empowered and proud. To me, it feels vulnerable and it takes courage to post something like this. Don’t take me wrong, I love exercising and it makes me feel like a bad ass during and after. Sharing a video of it on the other hand, makes me feel insecure and exposed.

I am a recovering perfectionist. I look at this video and see all the imperfections on it… the weird faces I make, the little fat on the side that I don’t like, the scars on my skin, the improper form, the bad lighting, etc…

Where perfectionism exists, shame is always lurking. ()

Over the years I’ve been consciously working on embracing imperfection. This week, I became aware of where I can do more work after reading ‘The gifts of imperfection’.

Today, I’m sharing this video to bravely embrace my imperfect enoughness ✨🙌🏼

I am so excited to start ‘s training, Yoga Deconstructed: Creative Sequencing with Somatics 🙌🏼

Somatic movement is exploratory in nature. It focuses the attention on the inner experience, instead of the way the movement looks.

After over a year of learning, exploring and introducing somatics in my yoga practice and classes, I have experienced many physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Many students have said that it’s one of their favourite parts of their classes with me. The more I learn about it, the more I want to share it with my everyone I know! 🤓

Just one more week before we are back at the studio! I can’t believe it’s been over a year of online classes only. Thank you yoga squad for the support and love as I keep sharing with you my passion for movement ✨🙌🏼

Is yoga for me?

The best way to answer that question is by trying a few classes and see what you think. We all come to yoga for different reasons, and just one or two classes might not be enough to determine whether it is for you or not, because there will be a lot going on within your brain-body connection that could make it feel more challenging than it is or even discourage from continuing your practice. It’s normal to experience some frustration at first, you are entering the cycle of learning and most of us don’t enjoy being beginners nor want to be patient and develop a new skill with time.

Being open to learn new ways of moving is not just good for your body, but also for your ego. It’s a humbling exercise that can teach us a lot about ourselves if we pay attention to the process. Once you stay on the journey, you accept that there aren’t finish lines in yoga, it becomes a practice of connection and constant learning ✨

Let's find peace through our yoga practice + connection with others, whatever the distance 🧘‍♀️✨

The last couple of weeks have been intense because of the current situation we are facing as a society. The unknown and uncertainty can leave us feeling anxious and unable to relax. It's important to me to continue to create spaces that can be beneficial not just to your physical health (by practici...

We exist for you, to offer you solutions, spaces to enjoy yourself and the company of others, improve skills, get fit, do the things that you don't want to do yourself, create unique things that you love, etc... But the truth is that most self employed and small businesses can only survive because of you, without your support we aren't viable.

As a self-employed, I sympathise with all the other self employed and small businesses out there that are or will be struggling because of the current situation. It's not easy when you feel out of control, and depend on external factors or people that will determine your job and income security.

I relate to the struggle and the worry, but I also know how much small acts of kindness mean during difficult situations like this. If you know someone who is self-employed or has a small business that will struggle through this time, give them the gift of yoga by asking them to contact me. I will give them free access to the online classes, so they can work on staying healthy in their mind and body while this is going on.

If you know someone who wants to stay fit from the comfort of their home, has the means to pay for the classes, and would like to help my business to keep going at the same time, please send them my way as it would be a great help.

I am determined to continue to serve you in the best possible way and stick together over the coming weeks. We won’t be defeated and will be united together.

Stay safe and take care,

Natalia x
