When I was writing I would leave myself voice notes. Things I was thinking of, how to turn it into writing and get it on paper, I would effectively read my own book to myself before it was written. Listening to it back helped me in some way, I’m not sure if anyone needs to hear this, maybe it’s myself but it still rings true now even though I would still tell myself to p**s off.

It’s mental health awareness week! 🧠
**FREE 60 day Journal guide.**

I’ve had multiple conversations with people since I launched my book asking me how I got into writing, it wasn’t planned… the book came from my journaling, something that I used when I was low and not in a great place. It helped me a lot, not to just bring me out of a dark place but to learn and understand my thoughts and feelings more deeply and to build upon it. 10 mins a day, that’s all you need for more clarity & understanding. You should try it!

After a conversation with a friend I decided to put it into a small manageable PDF, so if anyone wants it, it’s yours, for free!!

Journaling isn’t for everyone, I didn’t think it was for me either, but if you are stressed, mentally tired, struggling or overwhelmed, it ‘could’ help.

There is no catch, I won’t ask you to commit to something, buy anything (unless you want to buy my book) 😜

Its dumbed down & basic, it’s a guided 60 day PDF for you to print & try. That how I started, after 60 days I made I more specific and that’s where my book started!

Just comment below and I’ll send you the link, I’ll send it out to everyone at the end of the week via email.

VE Day.

I can’t even begin to comprehend what the lads and lasses went through back then. I’ve seen my share of war, but that generation was a different breed entirely. Ruthless fighting, no modern kit, —just cracked on! My hat goes off to every one of them.

Our generation of soldiers had it tough—Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Ireland, The Balkans, the aftermath, the stuff no one sees, but, it doesn’t come close to what they faced in those world wars.

If you want to get a feel for the battles we’ve faced in more recent years—both on the ground and in our head during the aftermath—have a read of my story. From pre-military life, through the military & Afghan and deep into the chaos that followed.

My book’s out now. Read it, and imagine just how hard it must’ve been for them lads in the 1940s. Both during and after.

Lest we forget.

Every penny from the royalties goes to Combat Stress. Who no doubt helped the men and women after they were founded in 1919.

I’m honestly struggling to find the words…

Reading through the reviews of my book has floored me. Humbled doesn’t even cut it. But I need to be honest—this book wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Combat Stress.

In 2019, I was barely hanging on. Infact I was very lucky to wake up one day… Every day was a battle just to survive. I didn’t see a way forward. It was Combat Stress that pulled me back. They helped me find a way to live again—not just exist, not just mask it—but to truly live.

Since then, I’ve had the honour of sharing my story, speaking at events, raising money, and trying to give back even a fraction of what they gave me.

Another 20 books sold today. That blows my mind. But the mission doesn’t stop here. I want to raise awareness. I want to raise as much as I can for the people still out there, fighting the battles no one sees.

If anything I’ve said or done since 2019 has ever helped you—even just a little—you’ve got them to thank. Because without them, I might not still be here. I might not have had the chance to connect with you at all.

You can read in the book how they helped take me from the edge… to where I am now. This is bigger than me. This is about giving back to those still lost in the noise.

Thank you for standing with me. Let’s keep going.

You can purchase the books here.

Ey up,

It's been a while since I posted here — and honestly, a fair bit has gone on since we last spoke. Life threw a few curveballs, and I decided it was time to take some proper control.

For starters, I've had a knee op (still walking like I've just got off a horse), bought a house in Spain (don't ask how that happened), sold off a few of my bootcamps, and even started working with my dad — which is as fun and chaotic as it sounds. All while keeping the rest of my bootcamps ticking over and trying to hold my head above water.

The reason for the shake-up? I hit a point where I knew I had to protect my mental health. I was stretched too thin, running on fumes, and not performing at my best. Something had to give. So I stepped back, realigned my priorities, and created space for the things that really matter — one of which was finally writing my book. Well, books. Somehow, I ended up writing two.

Now let me tell you — this wasn't some easy "sit by the pool in Spain and type a few thoughts" kind of project. Writing these books was hands down the hardest thing I've ever done. And I don't say that lightly. I've done operational deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, run ultra-marathons, and dragged myself through some truly brutal military courses. But putting your entire story, trauma, truth, and vulnerability into a book — knowing people are going to read it and feel it — that's a whole different beast.

There were times I nearly scrapped the whole thing. Twice, actually. Fear, self-doubt, the usual voices in your head. But I reminded myself that this was never about me. This was about something bigger.

That's why every single penny raised from the books will be donated to Combat Stress — a charity that's made a massive impact in my life. When things got dark and I didn't know where to turn, they were there. When I felt like I was falling apart, they helped me put the pieces back together. No judgement, no fluff — just proper support when I needed it most. I'll forever owe them for that.

So this is me, doing my bit to give something back.

The feedback so far has blown me away. People have messaged saying they read the whole thing in one sitting, couldn't put it down, and were genuinely moved by it. That's humbling stuff, and it just confirms I made the right call pushing through and getting it out there.

So here's what I'm asking: help me raise as much money as possible. Think of it like sponsoring me for an ultra-marathon — except this one was more mentally draining, emotionally brutal, and took years to finish. No blisters, but plenty of tears.

Grab a copy, share it with a mate, and know that you're supporting something that truly matters. You're not just buying a book — you're backing a cause that saves lives.

Appreciate every single one of you who's stuck around and supported me through the madness. It means more than you know.

Much love,
Gaz

P.S. If you do read it, drop me a message. I'd love to hear your thoughts — unless you hate it, in which case just use it as a doorstop… 😳😳
