Kaj Bornebusch Trophy.
Some of you may remember that this trophy was presented to the PMCRC (Portsmouth Motor Cycle Racing Club), back in 1958 by Kaj Bornebusch to be annually awarded at the Kaj Bornebusch Trophy Scramble which became one of those 'annual pilgrimage' meetings for riders and spectators alike.
I am currently working with Kaj younger brother Ake, who raced with him in both solo and sidecar classes back in the late 1950s to compile information and artefacts to do with Kaj and the Lito scramble motorcycle he was involved with, which will form an exhibition in the Idrottsmuseum, a sports museum, in Sweden.
PMCRC have kindly donated the original Kaj Bornebusch Trophy, which they no longer have a use for, to form part of the exhibition and prior to sending to Ake, I photographed the trophy along with the winners plaques on the plinth.
In 1975 it was won by Nick Thompson as shown in the attached photographs.
