If your player is moving to U15 for the 2026 / 2027 season and intends to tryout at the A / AA / Major (AAA) level - they must have completed an approved checking clinic.

Goalies are NOT required to take this clinic.

This is a 2 Day course!!

We would like to recognize someone who has helped tell the story of this team for 2 seasons — our unofficial team photographer, Rick Hebb (grandfather of Team Captain - Behr Dimmell - both pictured below).

Since September 2024, Rick has been there capturing it all — the intensity, the pride, and the defining moments on the ice. His action photos have not only documented the Hurricanes’ journey but have also been featured in team promotions, showcasing this group at its very best.

What makes Rick’s contribution even more special is that he has done it all simply out of passion and support for the team, never asking for anything in return. His generosity and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has given to this program.

like to recognize our volunteer parent liaison, Tessa d’Entremont (mom of Assistant Captain - Chase d'Entremont - both pictured below along with our helper in the score box - Austin Baker)

Tessa stepped into this role with enthusiasm well before the season even began and has been a constant source of organization, support, and positivity ever since. Her dedication to the Western Hurricanes has been unwavering, and her enthusiasm is unmatched .

Despite a very busy life — raising three boys (and yes we’ll add her husband Nick as the fourth boy… sorry, Nick but we have heard the stories!) — Tessa always found the time to make sure game days ran smoothly, snacks were ready, and questions were answered.

Tessa, thank you for everything you’ve done for this team and this program. You are a true supporter of the Hurricanes, and we are incredibly grateful.

The Western Hurricanes are more than just a team — we are a program built on leadership, development, dedication, and a strong work ethic.

This season, our second-year players have led by example both on and off the ice. They have shown how to handle adversity, respond to challenges, and represent their communities with pride.

Each player has grown into a leader, setting the standard and paving the way for next year’s players to follow.

As they move forward, whether in hockey, school, or life, we hope each will carry important core lessons wherever life takes them

Today, we salute our 2nd year graduates — not just as great hockey players, but as outstanding young people and citizens.

The Western Hurricanes program would like to recognize and thank the following players who comprised the leadership group for this year's team.
