ATTENTION PILOTS : So great news. Got the go-ahead by SAAMBR Model Club to start building FPV dive towers and a FPV Fixed course at sid brays field in Griffin, North Brisbane.
The requirement to race events will be maaa.
No fee to race.
There will be working bees etc which would be good to show the club and members that we mean business 😅 gonna be good to build with an established club and path the way for model clubs and FPV in Brisbane and Australia wide.
SAAMBR have plenty of funding available etc.
What we need is to join the club and support it that way, and show we can help grow it and build a really awesome community around it. So on that note there will be no exceptions to allow anyone to fly without maaa and/or saambr membership. (full saambr membership is required if planning to fly outside event days, current maaa must be shown at every race event regardless)
The end goal is a club that hosts FPV facilities that you can just turn up anytime you want providing their open for flying (no mosquito spraying etc) , pull your quads out an race or freestyle, have no setup of gates flags etc and just go flying/racing. (they already have 95% of the things that most clubs don't already have)
Probably at some stage we will get to a SAAMBR FPV Championship etc eventually also which will be awesome, later on down the track.
Here's the link to saambrs membership form
And costs.
* Please note MAAA Insurance is only obtainable via a club and is included in the club membership costs. Individuals cannot purchase maaa by itself as you need a nominated club.

Tag your friends, build their quads and tell them they have no excuse to be there.!
First race day will be proposed for about a months time. Ideally I want to make it rememberable without a date. (Something like First Sunday of every month) or something like that.
Happy flying guys...
