A couple of weeks ago we held our first club tuning session of the year. Tuning your bow can feel overwhelming, particularly with the huge amount of often contradictory information available online, but it is important to regularly check your bow to make sure everything is still aligned and working properly.
In this session we focussed on the basics - limb alignment, bracing height and tiller (how far the string is from your limbs and riser), and then some bare shaft shooting to make sure the nocking point is in the right place. Getting the basics right means you're not fighting against your bow to shoot well. Some of our more ambitious members then finished the afternoon with some blank boss shooting (fantastic for working on technique and form without worrying about scores).
If you missed this session don't despair! We are always happy to help out on club days if you have questions or want someone to look at your kit.
