BBQ fundraiser for J-Rex Racing at the Land of Legends Raceway (also known as the Ontario County Fair Grounds) outside the pit gates from 11am until sold out. Pulled pork, chicken halves, smoked mac 'n cheese and baked beans are on the menu. We'll also have a 50/50 drawing. It'll be setup like a drive-thru so easy in and easy out.
We've had a rough racing year with motors and a wreck and need to raise some funds to keep us on the track for the rest of the season.

We need your help!
If you watched the race at Land of Legends Raceway a week ago tonight (07/19), you know that the 8J (NOT BJ, Bundy!) took a devastating hit. After all the motor problems this year, Jeff finally got on the track with a strong car. Except, on lap 3 of the feature, coming into turns 1 & 2, there was another car sitting sideways in the dust that the 8J hit broadside, cuz there was nowhere else to go. The 8J then bounced off and hit the guard rail, embedding the front bumper into it. The whole front end was obliterated. They were hauled off the track on a hook. We had to cut the frame 4 times to get it into the box at the end of the night.
Jeff is okay, but nursing a bruised sternum and 3 broken toes. If ya think that's deterred him from getting back on the track? Nope! You'd be wrong!
Initially, we did think that was the end of the season, though. However, the LOLR race family has come together for us once again! We got a roller car from another hobby stock driver, but we need to pay for it (very reasonable in comparison to others). There are also a myriad of other parts that are needed to put her back together.

If you watched the race at Land of Legends Raceway NY last night, you saw the 8J in the Hobby Stock class didn't make it to the feature. She had a major problem on the 2nd lap of the heat. She popped twice and some sparks flew which took her out for the night... Major problem: the camshaft is in pieces.

HOWEVER, it looks like we have the solution and she'll be back on the track this coming Saturday!

AND THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE SAID LOUD AND CLEAR:
Being able to get back on the track in a week after a busted camshaft when you're a little struggling race team wouldn't happen without this amazing racing community. Before the 8J was even towed off the track, there were people waiting for her in our pit to help. From our pit crew, other team's pit crews, other drivers, sponsors, friends and more we've been offered so much help.

There's no family like our race family. On the track, we're competitors but off the track, we're a family. We're the new kids but we've been welcomed with open arms. We're blown away by you all and are so so grateful. Saying thank you doesn't seem to be enough because what we feel just can't be covered by those two words.

Thank you everyone for the help, support, encouragement and good juju. We love you all.

We were rained out again tonight! Grrr.
BUT! We did do the drawing for Chomp's Chances tonight. TR was our winner and they've been notified! Thank you TR and we hope you enjoy your prizes!!
