TT 2026 Round Up:
The Isle of Man TT Races ended as quick as they started for the TH Racing Team with unprecedented June weather, delivering a sudden end of the 2026 event, after what can only be described as one of the most difficult TT two weeks in recent years.
After stone splitting wall to wall sunshine during practice week, it was replaced by 20mm of rain during race week which saw race after race postponed or taking place with reduced laps.
TH Racing riders Joey Thompson and AJ Venter again did their best in the conditions that were presented to them both.
In the first Supersport 600 race it was a double DNF for the team with Joey Thompson pulling out of the race as conditions where just to sketchy, while AJ Venter also retired after his fuel cap worked loose after the pit stop.
There was more to smile about in race two, with Joey Thompson bringing home the TH Racing CBR600RR Honda in 20th place with a best lap of 121.722mph and a race average of 120.383mph.
AJ Venter finished in 27th place with a best lap of 120.466mph and a race average of 118.703mph.
The final race of the TT festival for the team was the one and only Sportbike Race in which both riders produced their best results of the week.
AJ Venter riding the TH Racing/Hywel Griffiths ER650 Kawasaki just missed out on a top ten place when he crossed the finish line in 11th place. AJ had a best lap of 118.462mph and a race average of 117.731mph.
Joey Thompson on the TH Racing RS660 Aprilia produced another fine result in 15th place with a best lap of 117.753mph and a race average of 116.858mph.
No doubt it was a difficult TT for various reasons but the Team again came away strong with a lot learned. We regroup and go again in 2027.
Thank you to all the team members who worked tirelessly before and during race week, and to all our sponsors whom without, we just wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
A special word of thanks to Conor Burns who kindly loaned the team the use of his car for the TT fortnight.
Finally our thoughts and prayers go out to all our fellow competitors who are recovering from injuries, and we wish them all a full and speedy recover. Foremost in our thoughts and prayers at this time go out to the family and friends of Daniel Ingham who lost his life during TT26.
