Wish your parents helped you create a healthier relationship with nutrition and training from a young age? Yeah me too!

I’m really excited to lead by example with my son so he can be the very best version of himself when he grows up and a vital part of a healthy lifestyle is good nutrition.

Integrity in your training is doing what you said you’d do, even if no one is watching. It’s a commitment to yourself. Start dropping a rep, start leaving 5 mins or 500m early because no one else is around to keep you on track and the demons have already started to win.

PBs go on the grid baby! While none of this is my fastest work in total I’m really happy because:
🏃‍♀️ the first two blocks of this run felt INCREDIBLE. I really pushed myself into some challenging spots knowing the last 13km was allowed to be as slow as I needed to survive.

🏃‍♀️Secondly, it’s my longest training run ever. I’ve only ever ran this distance surrounded by 100s of other people doing the same. It just hits different solo.

Wanted to quit. Didn’t.

Tomorrow is a long run and I’m actively trying to fuel smarter this time round. Here’s everything I ate aiming for high carb and lower fat and fibre .

This is actually harder than I realise. I’m feeling SO good in terms no of training and recovery living in these higher carb numbers but it is challenging mentally.

Calorie tracking is food freedom. Weight loss is one goal but weight maintenance needs to be something you can sustain. By learning how to track, you can easily include the foods you love in addition to a healthy diet and not have it derail everything you’ve worked for.

Sure it can take time to learn but you’re going to be eating for the rest of your life so you might as well invest the time. Your future self will thank you for it.
