What a fantastic day! Beautiful sunshine, mud, cake and community spirit ✨☀️

A hugely varied and challenging course looked lovely in the sunshine and autumn colour. We have some stunning photos to share, but for now here’s a selection 🍁🍂

As always thank you so much to all involved. Thank YOU for your entries and supporting us, thank you to all those who helped out (before and on the day) we could not do it without you!

Challengers, its nearly time!

✉️ Instructions with a map and gpx file have been emailed to all entrants, please check your inboxes (and spam folders). Key info is covered in this video ☝️

📍The car park is on the edge of the village at w3w:edits.subway.jump, open from 7am.

🥾Mass start at 9am, safety briefing at 8:50am, please allow at least 30mins to park and register first.

☀️ Sunshine is in the forecast 🤞 See you tomorrow, it’s going to be a good 16 miles!

600 apples = 50kg+ of crumble all being cooked up this week ahead of The Challenge on Saturday 🤩

Instructions will be emailed to all entrants this week with key event info, map and gpx route. Today (3rd November) is the last day for entry transfers if you can no longer make it and have found someone to take your place.

Prep is well underway and the team will be busy getting everything ready for the big day!

Something for any little Challengers out there… the Seagrave Scurry is a short XC fun run (with obstacles!) taking place on Saturday 27th September. Suitable for preschool age and upwards, including adults!

Will you see us there? Entries close in just one week on 18th September. Proceeds go to Seagrave Village Primary School and The Salvation Army 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

We were at the yesterday promoting the Challenge in (mostly) glorious weather ☔️ ☀️

We had a ringside seat watching all the fun including Morris Dancers, tug of war and of course the dog shows 🐾

There was lots of interest in this years event and the route (entries via our website please), but we are also calling for local volunteers to help make this years challenge happen! ✨

We’d love:
🍰Crumble and cake donations (homemade please!)
🥪 Help with food prep on Fri 7th Nov
🥾Setting-up volunteers to help prep the checkpoints
🦺Marshalls and Car Park volunteers
☕️People to help with serving refreshments on the day

If you would like to be involved please drop us a message, we are looking for helpers to donate their time for our lovely community fundraising event… and you may be in with a chance of some crumble at the end 🥣🍏

Challengers! We are back for 2025 and entries are open!

Some of the team have been out in this lovely weather doing a recce of the planned route for this year which takes us into the Wreake Valley via Ratcliffe College, Ratcliffe Village, into Cossington, along the River Soar (weather permitting!) to Mountsorrel and back via Barrow On Soar. It’s going to be a good one!

Join us on 8th November 2025 for the usual 9am start, 16 miles of beautiful countryside and of course lots of crumble and custard. Adults £27, Under 16’s and over 65s £14, enter via Event Entry (link via our website).
