Some postcards from Knockhill.

With our bike getting its first set of major updates since pre-season testing began - many of which are not visual or even related outright performance - Storm was fastest in the wet and qualified P2 in the dry for the first race.

During the races, maintaining the outright qualifying pace over a full race distance was a challenge for Storm, but a P6 and a P4 in the first two races and a DNF in race 3 maintained his overall position of P7 in the championship.

For Snetterton we have another set of scheduled major updates which we expect will close the performance gap to the leaders over a race distance.

❤️ JAMIE CRINGLE UPDATE 🙏

A further update from Ryan Cringle on the recovery of Manx rider Jamie Cringle, following his crash at the 2026 Isle of Man TT - and while the road ahead remains long, Jamie has taken some real steps forward.

Over the past few days, Jamie has come through multiple major surgeries:

🔹 At the weekend, surgeons stabilised the burst fracture of his L3 vertebra - fusing the lower spine with 10 screws and two rods running from L1 to L5.

🔹 Jamie underwent a 5-hour operation on his right leg, with a more robust external cage now fitted to support his tibia and fibula, along with a skin graft from his thigh to close the leg.

Further surgeries remain to come on the right leg and on his broken left ankle. Jamie is heavily sedated tonight as he rests ahead of the next hurdle - but the family report that he is reactive to their voices, and fighting every step of the way. 💪

Almost to the hour these pictures were taken exactly one year apart.

Now that TT26 is finished and I’ve spent a couple of weeks back on the island working on an incredible project, it seems the perfect moment to say thank you.

I wish I could find the words to express just how much I am so grateful to the many many many people who helped me go from a stretcher with a long list of injuries to a pub with some of my nearest and dearest friends a year later.

There’s literally dozens and dozens of people who have been part of my recovery, from the roadside Marshalls to family and friends and everyone in between, of whom there are too many to name, but you know who you are……………Thank You, you are incredible ❤️

Last year during the debut season for the Bathams AJN race team in the British Superbike Championship, Donington Park yielded the least number of points than any other circuit on the calendar. Storm only scored 18 points across all seven races held there last season. In contrast he scored 15 points from just two races completed, before a technical fault in race 3 meant a non-scoring DNF.

Throughout practice and qualifying Storm was able to lap 1.5 seconds faster than his previous best lap time last season, and during qualifying was also under the existing circuit lap record, lapping Donington Park faster than he has ever before. The result was 6th place in qualifying compared to 17th last season and a clear indication of the progress being made by the team and its technical partners converting a road bike into a superbike.

Race 1 saw Storm in an exciting 6-way battle for 4th position when a red-flag stopped the race early due to a sudden rain shower. He finished 8th, less than a second behind 4th.

Following an uncharacteristically poor start by Storm in Race 2, the shorter format sprint race became a damage limitation exercise, and Storm recovered to 9th position to maintain his run of top 10 finishes which began at Brands Hatch last season.

Race 3 came to an abrupt end for Storm with an electrical fault that shut the bike down to deny the team a hat-trick of points finishes which would have been the perfect response to last years hat-trick of DNF’s.

The team now turns its attention to the Isle of Man TT Races with Conor Cummins riding the Bathams AJN BMW superbike, while our technical partners implement a host of upgrades to the Ducati superbike ready for round 3 of the BSB championship at Knockhill.

Stacey: “Obviously the DNF in race three wasn’t the best way to end what was otherwise a pretty decent weekend. However, there are a lot of positives to take away from Donington this year, especially when you compare it to the same round last year. Last year I qualified 17th and got three DNF’s, whereas this year I qualified 6th and under the lap record and finished in the top ten and in the mix in the two races that I did finish.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with how the season has started. The bike is mega, and now there’s a break before Knockhill, the team have got a load of upgrades for it which I’m sure will make it even better.

The best is yet to come....”

Rutter: “For sure Donington wasn’t as good as it could have been, especially with the DNF in race three, but overall I’m pleased with how the season has got underway and where we find ourselves given the scale of the project that we took on. We’re learning more and more about the bike and have got a clear plan for it during the next three weeks while we’re at the TT to take it to the next level”.
