Another custom gravel Commutter leaving the workshop today.

We got this ace carbon Planet X frame-set courtesy of .works which enabled us to build her up on a conservative budget.

The customer wanted decent tyre width, wide gear range and an adjustable stem, the left was left to us. The result is an ultra light gravel machine all ready to roll for a trip in the Alps later this summer!

Spec -
- Planet X XC Carbon frame-set (repainted forks)
- Wife flared Tifosi bars, adjustable stem, Cinelli tape
- Groupset; GRX 2x10 Hydraulic Shifters mixed with Tiagra 4700 gearing, extended up to a 36T rear cassette (Good tip for techies, GRX 10 speed and Tiagra 4700 are cross-compatible), Shimano Deore brake calliper and discs
- Wheels; Shimano MT15 wheelset wearing Halo gravel 38c tyres
- Tortec Rear Rack

Paul’s dream bike! Custom Planet X Titanium Tempest (SRAM AXS 12 speed)

With a history of cyclocross racing, the customer wanted a high quality modern gravel / AllRoad build to give him access to different types of terrain on his weekend rides.

A mix of all new and used parts, all provided and picked out from group-sets and parts we had in the shop. The electric shifting is great!

Spec -
- Planet X Tempest Titanium frame with carbon Selcof fork and headset
- Cinelli Swamp flared bars
- Ritchey Carbon Pro Seatpost with Sella Italia Boost saddle
- Full 1 x 12 SRAM Apex AXS electronic group-set set up 1 x 12 with a 40T front chain-ring and 46T rear cassette, new brakes with fresh hoses, brake pads, discs ect
- Wheels; GD26 Alex Rims laced to NovaTec 4-1 thru wheels, wearing Schwalbe G-One tyres
- Upgraded Miche Graff crankset with Ultegra bottom-bracket and Shimano SPD’s

I’m holiday ready! Just assembled my last few bits, huge thanks to them for all the bags and bike-packing gear.

Don’t judge me, I know the bike needs a good clean.

My monster truck gravel-converted 29er Hardtail will be getting a hammering this coming week, with some wild camping bike touring.

I’ve also installed a leather Rolls saddle and a Hashiki bar-end bell for some extra ease.

As mentioned on previous post, we’re now shut until Tuesday the 21st, anyone’s welcome to drop off after that.

Opening up the stock feels like Xmas day, even the packaging is luxury🎄

We currently have Black B17’s, Swift’s in Honey and black and brown Cambium bar-tape, we’ll also have a few variations of the Cambium saddles arriving in the next few weeks.

I also have a very rare 1950’s B5N crying out for a restoration if anyone’s keen, the leather and rails are perfect, it’s just got a slight repair required.

As always, fully stripped down and re-built with all new perishables. A lovely riding road bike for commuter’s or weekend riders who want the simplicity and easy maintenance of rim braking.

It’s got some lovely parts, with a mix of Shimano Ultegra, Shimano 105, Mavic, Fizik, Cinelli ect.

The perfect all rounder, it’ll do wonders as a Commutter, flat-bar gravel, bike-packing (loads of eyelets and space on the frame for racks / bags luggage) or touring. All whilst looking stylish AF!

We have options for front or rear racks, bike-packing gear, mudguards ect.

We’ve gone to town building this beast of a gravel bike, using a retro triple-triangle GT Nomad frame with Carbon forks, lightweight Shimano wheels and a Shimano Apex group-set.

It’s big and beautiful! Super sturdy and will handle all sorts of riding demands.

Price - £700 (this is pretty much what it’s cost us to build).

- GT Nomad 23” frame (fully treated with new bolts and BB threads re-cut)
- Bontranger Carbon fork
- New 1 1/8” sealed headset
- Wide flared Tifosi gravel bars with new black GT tape
- SRAM Apex 1 x 11 gear-set with Sram Apex shifters, brand-new left side Apex lever and new hood on the right, 40T Apex chain-ring and Shimano Deore 42T cassette with new KMC chain and cables, great range of gears for climbing

For those who’ve been asking, we’ve got the custom GT Gravel bike finished.

Clearer pics and specs to come, but we’ve used all high-end modern parts (just the original GT steel frame, all modern gravel components).

Size XL for 6ft+

GT triple-triangle steel 700c frame, carbon forks, SRAM Apex 1 x 11 gravel group-set, Shimano RS-500 bladed wheelset, wide 42c tyres, wide flared gravel bars, mostly brand-new bits and rides lovely !!

We went in pretty hard on the new parts, so mostly looking to get back what’s its cost to build.
