52 State members have left for Dehradun to take part in All India Karate Championship which is going to be held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand under Karate India Organization (KIO) All India Cadets, Junior and Team Kumite Karate Championship scheduled to be held from September 21 to 24.
The State team comprises 47 players, one coach and four officials.
In the cadet male kata /kumite: Mechi Liyak, Phassang Takang, Tagu Nirin, Tafang Natung, Savan Weshi and Ayanso Khamblai will be participating in the 14-15 age category; while Khyoda Talik, Rota Rigia, Seme Pao, Bhai Sangyu, Pala Dodum, Kingbo Tayem and Tysan Krong will be playing in the junior category.
For Cadets female kata/kumite; Yali Mimi, Mesu Mangkya, Michi Dishi, Renia Veo and Jumbilu Ngadong will be involved in the 14-15 age category. Lipin Ete, Meku Lamnio, Diya Das, Zimi Eyum, Ritu Tawsik, Jinke Naji and Gomi Dulom will be taking part in the junior category.
Yarda Sagmana, Danik Saring, Lokar Londa, Inden Ongam Singpho, Sang Singpho, Sanong Singpho and Tutu Dari constitute team kumite male under-21 category.
For +18 years male kumite, Lindom Tani, Bili Lombi, Doyang Dadda, Nanu Taku, Taram Rigam, Lindum Logun, Kampu Sono Rebe will be participating.
For under-21 female kumite, Chanya Lowang, Davi Singhi, Taba Yapa and Sancha Wangsu will fight it out, while Santi Sikom, Veronica Padung, Mimi Ramching and Gomi Dulom will be participating in the +18 age female category.
The team would be led by Coach Yarda Tadap and four officials viz., Dr Marli Ete, Rakom Dugi, Choma Doka and Echu Rotom.
