Good morning yall!
We know it’s early but we woke up thinking about tomorrow’s fundraiser! We copied and pasted this from the fundraiser page.
-This event is being held to raise funds for Stephen Craft and his family as they walk through this difficult season of life. Stephen is a 3-year-old little boy who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms Tumor. Just days before his diagnosis, his parents Kailey and Craig, also received the exciting news that they are expecting TWINS. St. Jude's has been absolutely amazing, but they still face the financial burden of the initial medical bills, travel expenses to Baton Rouge weekly for chemo treatments, and eventually an extended stay in Memphis for Stephen to receive radiation. Kailey is a teacher who missed many days at the end of last school year during Stephen's extended hospital stay upon being diagnosed and heads into next school year knowing that chemo treatments are not over and more missed days are inevitable. In 2025, Craig was injured at work, leading to a major back surgery which he still has not been fully released from. This was a career ending injury, as his lifetime restrictions will prevent him from returning to his prior field of work and starting over, possibly in the midst of Stephen's cancer journey and welcoming newborn twins.
We are coming together to help support the family with their growing medical and financial needs during this challenging time. South Louisiana and Acadiana have always shown what it means to rally around neighbors in need, and we know this community will do the same for the Craft family.
So laissez les bons temps rouler, and come out to support this loving family. Thank you all for your prayers, generosity, and support. May God bless each and every one of you.
