Our honeymoon didn’t go exactly as planned…

It started with us stranded in France after our flight was cancelled. ✈️

Not once.
But twice.

Two days in a row… 🫠

Those two days meant we lost our entire Florence stop. The city we’d been so excited to explore became a drive-through on our way to Tuscany.

There were places we never got to see.
Outfits I never wore.
Plans that simply weren’t possible anymore.

And honestly… it sucked.😣

It would’ve been really easy to let that become the story of our honeymoon.

Instead, the story became..

Watching my husband and I navigate disappointment together.

Finding little moments to laugh, even when we were frustrated.

Choosing to pivot when things didn’t go the way we had imagined.

Choosing to make the most of where we were instead of staying stuck on where we thought we were supposed to be.

Some of my favourite memories weren’t on the itinerary at all.

They were the quiet evenings after long days.
The unexpected conversations.
The slower moments that reminded me that sometimes the best part of a trip isn’t the place…

It’s the person you’re sharing it with.♥️

And honestly… I couldn’t help but think about coaching.

I spend so much of my time reminding women that progress doesn’t disappear just because life doesn’t go according to plan.

But standing in France, after another cancelled flight, with an itinerary that was no longer possible…

It’s easy to coach that lesson. It’s another thing to live it.

Because life rarely goes according to plan.

Flights get cancelled.
Plans change.
Weeks get busy.
Energy disappears.

Things don’t unfold the way we hoped.

Whether it’s a honeymoon or a fitness journey, we always have a choice.

We can spend all of our energy wishing reality looked different…

Or we can ask ourselves,

“Okay… this isn’t what I planned. What’s the next best step?”

I think that’s where resilience is built.

Not when everything goes perfectly.

But in the moments we choose to adapt instead of abandon ourselves.

That’s something I’ve coached for years.

This honeymoon reminded me that I have to keep practicing it, too.🪴

You miss one workout.

Then suddenly it’s been a week. 🫠

Not because you don’t care.
Not because you’re lazy.

But because somewhere along the way, you started believing you had to get back to doing everything perfectly before it was worth starting again.

I’ve seen this happen with so many women.
And honestly, I used to do it too.

I’d miss a workout because life got busy.

Then I’d skip the next one because the week was already “ruined.” (Oh gosh, I used that excuse allll the time. 🙃)

Then my nutrition would slip because I was always planning to “start fresh” on Monday.

And before I knew it, I was carrying guilt over something that started with one missed workout. 😵‍💫

That’s the thing about perfectionism.
It doesn’t convince you to do better.
It convinces you not to start until you can do it perfectly.👎🏼

The women who stay consistent aren’t the women who never fall off track.

They’re the women who return faster.

🪴They don’t wait for Monday.

🪴 They don’t wait for the perfect week.

🪴 They don’t wait until they’re feeling motivated again.

They brush themselves off and take the next step.

💛 Maybe that means doing a 20-minute workout instead of skipping the week.

💛 Maybe it means choosing one balanced meal instead of promising yourself you’ll start over tomorrow.

💛 Maybe it means remembering that one missed workout is just one missed workout.

The goal isn’t doing everything right.
The goal is shortening the gap between:

“I got off track” &
“I’m back.”

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to get back on track, this is your reminder:

You don’t need a perfect week.
You just need your next step. 🌱

This chapter surprised me…

Not because I didn’t know it would be uncomfortable.

I did.

It’s part of why I said yes.

I wanted the challenge.✔️
I wanted the growth.✔️
I wanted the experience of stepping into a level of visibility that doesn’t come naturally to me.✔️

1 on 1 is different.

One person.
One conversation.
One story.

A room full of people is something else entirely.🫣

What I didn’t expect was how much this chapter would give back to me.

Not because visibility became easier.

But because somewhere between the early mornings, the conversations before class, the laughs afterward, and the familiar faces walking through the doors, I found exactly what I had been looking for.

Connection ♥️
Community ♥️
People ♥️

And maybe that’s why I never saw my role as simply leading a workout.

I found myself paying attention to the people in front of me.

The woman navigating a divorce.

The mom running on less sleep than she’d hoped for.

The person carrying grief.

The woman rebuilding trust in her body.

The familiar face who kept showing up, even when life felt heavy.

Those were the moments that stayed with me. Because fitness was never the most interesting part.

The people were.

And when I looked around the room, I didn’t just see people exercising.

I saw people showing up for themselves.🪴
I saw people choosing themselves.🪴
I saw people doing hard things.🪴

That’s why I’d often say:

You set the alarm.
You didn’t hit snooze.
You got dressed.
You got in the car.
You rolled out your mat.
You picked up the weights.
You did the dang thing.

Be proud of that. Because I meant it. Every single time.

When I look through these photos, I don’t see classes or workouts. I see connection. I see trust. I see laughter. I see people who made a new city feel a little more like home.

To everyone pictured here, and to the many who aren’t, thank you from the bottom of my heart.🙏🏼

For the conversations.
For the encouragement.
For the memories.
For the community.

And thank you for giving me a front-row seat to your greatness. ♥️

You were never meant to hate yourself into becoming healthier.🪴

I think so many women are carrying far more pressure than anyone realizes, and underneath all of that, there’s still a woman just trying to feel strong, grounded, confident, and okay again.

That’s the kind of space I want this to be.

Really glad you’re here. ♥️

I haven’t disappeared.
I’ve just been quietly living the work I teach 🦋

Showing up for my movement.
Feeding myself even if it wasn’t always perfect.
Holding the vision even when I wasn’t sharing every step.

Because strength isn’t always loud.
Consistency isn’t always visible.
And leadership doesn’t always look like posting through everything. 👀

But I’m here now..
Clearer, steadier, & more grounded than ever.
Not starting over.
Not explaining.
Just leading from where I am.

🌵 I help women rebuild strength, confidence, and structure—without extremes.
🌵 I coach you through resistance, all-or-nothing patterns, and shame spirals.
🌵 I teach you how to come home to your body and trust your routine again.

Because when your strategy is aligned,
your mindset is resilient,
and your support is actually personalized…
you don’t need to hustle your way to results.

You get to rise through them 🪴

If you’re in a season of rebuilding too and ready to do it differently this time,
I’m in your corner.
My DMs are always open.

Spring reminds us—everything can begin again 🌸

After a full week of showing up (hello, new classes!🥳) and a long weekend with my boyfriend’s family (love them, but let’s just say… my social battery = low), so I gave myself monday to recharge.🔋

🦋some quiet
🧘🏻‍♀️ some movement
🌮 some really good food
📚 just me, slowing it down

Not everything needs to be productive to be powerful.

If you needed a reset too—I hope you took it.
And if not, maybe this is your sign that you still can!✨

Happy (belated) easter—and happy spring.🐰

If you’re easing into spring on your own terms, hit the heart and keep going. There’s no rush 🫶🏻

March… you brought a lot of growth & a lot of resistance to it, too. 🪴🫠

This month marked the beginning of something new for me—stepping into a role that feels familiar on paper (fitness and movement), but entirely different in energy.

No longer just helping 1:1, but guiding in a larger, more public way. 🫣

And with that came my old friend: perfectionism.

I caught myself worrying about being watched more closely. 👀
About saying the wrong thing, doing the wrong thing, not looking like i had it all together.
About whether i’m allowed to be seen fumbling & still be trusted 🫱🏽‍🫲🏻

And wow… that’s been a tender place to sit in.

But I’m learning, again and again, that I don’t need to be perfect to lead.

I just need to be present, attuned, & willing to grow. 🪴
That when i show up with heart and intention—that’s enough. 🫶🏻
that i am enough.🔥

If you’ve been in a season where you’re putting yourself out there in new ways…

where the pressure to do it “right” is weighing you down…

where your fear of messing up is louder than your excitement…

I see you.
I am you.
And i’m right there, walking beside you—messy, brave, and all in.🐛🦋

Here’s to showing up imperfectly & letting it be more than enough.
Here’s to March and whatever April holds! 🥂🌱

And if this hits home for you too
what’s something new you’ve stepped into lately?
Something that scared you, but you showed up anyway?🌻

Or maybe just save this post for the next time you need the reminder:
you don’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
you just have to begin. 🦋🫶🏻

There are mornings where the light hits my floor just right ☀️, and I remember—

Not everything that’s healing has to be loud.
Some of us are rebuilding quietly.
Slowly.
Sacredly.
One breath. One rep.
One soft promise to ourselves at a time. 🌱

I used to think I had to prove my strength.
Now I know—I just have to honor it. 🪴

In the way I show up.
In the way I speak to myself.
In the way I guide others to remember their own.

This season of my life isn’t about chasing.
It’s about tending. 🌿
My body.
My mind.
My dreams.
My future.
My truth.

If you’re in a slower season too — one that doesn’t look like blooming yet, but still holds growth—
you’re not behind.
You’re still growing.🐛
And that matters more than you know.

If your heart needed this today, save it as a reminder— or share it with someone finding their way too. 🦋
