A few members of the club enjoyed watching an impromptu training session today from Everton Ladies, who are up at St Andrews University as part of their pre-season training schedule. It was an invaluable watch for our young girls - they commented on the one-touch football, the controlled possession and the constant movement from the players - and we could not have been made more welcome or met a nicer bunch of players, coaches and club staff. Thank you Everton Ladies - we wish you all the best in the upcoming WSL season

Sunday was a landmark day for the club as our u14 Navy player Jenna Graham became the first girl from the club to play for the Boys Girls Club of Scotland, playing for the u15s in a match against Wales at Ochilview Park, Stenhousemuir.
BGC Scotland (Boys & Girls Clubs of Scotland) is a national youth charity established in 1928 that empowers young people ages 8–18 through social development and sports. They are best known for organising youth football squads (U15s and U17s for both boys and girls) that compete in annual international fixtures against BGC Wales.
Jenna came through an arduous trial process in the spring (several other players from the club entered and performed very well but were unfortunately not selected) where the standards were high (trials are open to players within specific age brackets e.g., U15s and U17s, excluding players currently on professional contracts or with official Scotland National Team caps) and yesterday was the culmination of all her hard work and dedication during the process - the pinnacle of the sporting calendar, international weekend matches against BGC Wales
Supported in the stands by many of her u14 Navy teammates, Jenna did herself, her family and the club proud and at the young age of 14 now has her first Scotland cap, hopefully the first of many! She’s an inspiration to all the girls in the club and we are beyond delighted for her and immensely proud of her 💙🩵

Good morning! ⚽️⚽️⚽️
St Andrews & East Neuk Girls would be super grateful to anyone who wants to get involved in this Spot the Ball competition - ALL funds raised will go towards covering the cost (over £2000) of putting 22 willing volunteers through their first aid paces and so enabling them to support the girls at training and matches as first aiders - a very necessary and important role and one that the club takes very seriously.
Please share and take part - it’s quite fun and addictive!
Thank you 🙏🩵

⚽ St Andrews and East Neuk Girls FC are currently fundraising, and this endeavour has created an opportunity for a local business to become the new club strip sponsor on the U8 and U10 strips.

⚽ We’d like to invite businesses to buy squares on our fundraising scratch card. There are just 10 left. The winning square will become the new strip sponsor for the U8 and U10 SAEN teams for three years.

⚽ We have around 60 girls playing in teams from U8–U10, which means lots of great exposure throughout the whole of the East region.

⚽ Squares are £50 each, and there are only 10 of the 40 squares left (see picture). Please message [email protected] for more information or for bank account details. The draw will be made once all squares are taken and paid for.

⚽ Please share far and wide! This is a really important fundraiser that will unite the whole club. Thank you! 🙏

Today a selection of girls from across the age groups at St Andrews & East Neuk were mascots for the Thornton Hibs ladies team who took to the field in their first ever competitive match at home, a cup game v Ardrossan.
Thornton Hibs is the pathway club for girls from St Andrews & East Neuk once they are too old to play u16s football, a collaboration between SAEN and Kennoway Star Hearts, and what an exciting pathway it is proving to be. There are currently 7 former SAEN players at the club playing alongside girls and ladies from KSH and beyond, as they enter the fifth tier of Scottish women’s football in their inaugural season. They today they ran out 3-0 winners in blistering heat and a cracking atmosphere - thanks to our players Fiona, Makayla, Mieke, Klara, Jenna, Grace and Emily for representing the club today 🩵⚽️

*******Today is the launch of Thornton Hibs Ladies Football Club, which will now be the pathway club for our girls aged 16+, and will provide a fantastic footballing home for all girls from north east Fife who want to continue their journey in the game.

A good number of last years SAEN U16s have joined the club, so if you fancy popping down to support them, then it all starts from 1.45pm at the home of Thornton Hibs FC where the Lord Provost of Fife Mr Jim Leishman, will be piped in alongside club officials as well as local elected members, sponsors and others. Local press will be present to commemorate the occasion and the event is also being officially filmed. Ribbons will be cut, and the players will then sign on the dotted line for Thornton Hibs on the pitch accompanied by some players from our pathway clubs. The day will be rounded off by a set from local up & coming singer Seanico.

There is a cafe open on the day serving both hot & cold drinks and food. It should be a memorable event so please pop down if you can and be part of this special occasion.

Our u12s and u14s teams played their first games with our brand new 9-a-side goals last weekend - and were thrilled with them, as you can see!

The goals are the first big pieces of equipment the club has taken possession of as we continue our growth - currently we have 125 girls on our books playing in 9 different teams across 6 age groups - and we are absolutely delighted, and incredibly grateful to the St Andrews Ball committee who so generously donated the funding we needed to make the purchase; longer term this will allow us to make full use of the facilities at Station Park where we have a dedicated 9-a-side pitch - and support the increasing number of girls who are keen to play the beautiful game!

As a club we would like to wholeheartedly thank the Ball committee, and of course everyone who supported the Ball and in doing so, brought this project to fruition. Your funds are being put to fantastic use! ⚽️
