Got a tune-up yesterday from my swing coach, Darren Husse out of Warwick Hills. This was at his other facility in the winter, Tyron Hills. A lot of people may wonder why I would be getting a lesson, but remember: 1. It's good to seek the knowledge of other respected pros that give you their perspective and philosophy on the swing. 2. I don't listen to myself very well.
Takeaways:
Issue: hands and arms were getting too high on backswing (chest lifting). This caused some clubface issues on the way down, sometimes closing too soon and too much manipulation with the hands close to impact.
Adjustments:
-Get hands and arms "deeper" in the backswing, while keeping chest down and not lifting.
-This will help attack angle be less down and have body more involved on the downswing and follow through.
