Hampton Roads' premiere Latin Dance school, Con Alegria Movement provides quality latin dance classes, specializing in salsa, bachata, sensual bachata, and rueda de casino. Located in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, we offer several classes in rotation including ladies styling, Dominican bachata, and salsa shines as well as performance and training teams. Whether you are just starting your latin dance

journey or are an experienced dancer new to Southeast Coastal Virginia, we have a class that will get you dancing and connected to the community.

This weekend!!! World Champion Luis Santiago will be joining Con Alegría Movement Saturday Sept 12th for workshops and a social.

You DO NOT want to miss this!!

1:30-3:00pm Open Level Bachata (if this is your first ever dance class, this may be quite challenging)
3:00-4:30pm Intermediate Salsa on2 (this class if for students with consistent timing and connection and able to execute cross body variations with ease)

Meet Kim! Everyone’s favorite salsera who always brings warm energy, positive help, and fashionable glasses for every outfit 💁🏽‍♀️

Kim helps teach both salsa on1 and salsa on2 with Quiana and AJ on Thursdays. She loves working with different folks from different backgrounds and skill levels. Shes the warm and familiar face who keeps us smiling and growing as dancers 🤗

Join us for an exciting September! Lots of opportunities for dancing both in the dance studio and socially as well! This month includes a performance challenge starting the last couple weeks (more information on that to come 😉)

We are thrilled to welcome World Champion Luis Santiago to the 757! He brings with him a career spanning many genres, many countries, and so much passion for this dance! You do not need to bring a partner, but you will need a water bottle, appropriate dance shoes, and a desire to learn.
The workshops will include solo shine work and partnerwork.

Meet Quiana! The brain and mama behind Con Alegría Movement 🧡

Anyone who has ever taken a class from Quiana will tell you that she has an incredible way of making things fun and positive while still offering precise and helpful feedback. Her classrooms are filled with laughter, high fives, and nobody ever leaves a stranger.

If you’ve met Quiana on the dance floor you might would describe her as vivacious, talented, energetic, and with bits of silly and weird thrown in 😉 She can lead, she can follow, and she can dance with anyone at any level and make connections that are fun and memorable 💃🏻
