First race of the session under our belt for our little team. Very cold 🥶 both days but as per normal troops did us proud 👏

In Cadets, Darren #26, Ryan #20 & Harry #60 had a good weekend back in the seats in probably the most aggressive & competive class in karting so lots of carnage. But in the final Ryan managed to come home in 5th place Darren in 7th & Harry 11th ✊️✊️✊️

There was no mini grid this weekend for Ella #31 so she had to sit on the side lines and watch but moving up to Juniors soon so watch this space 😁😁😁

In Juniors, Jude 80 # came 5th in a couple of heats fighting hard with front runners. Little bits of bad luck plagued his weekend though 😳 Got hit hard in 3rd heat ended up on grass with front tyre blown of the bead but still managed to finish the heat. In the final on the dummy grid a flat battery🔋put a end to a brilliant effort all weekend so sadly had to sit it out. But with Junior final ending in a blizzard of snow and complete carnage maybe was a blessing in disguise :-)

In Seniors Darcy #96 having move up a class this year. Was right at the front all weekend. With a couple of issues with her lead feet at start flooding kart on dummy grid (Still it was Dad's fault🤣🤣) caused her to end up at back of pack at rolling start, but had a couple of 2nd places came 1st in 3rd heat got tagged and spun in final so had a hard battle to make it home in 2nd place 0.088 seconds behind the leader.

Overall though they all did us proud 👏 roll on the next race weekend 😁😁😁

Wee shout out and thanks to North of scotland kart club committee, Marshals etc for another great weekend in bitter weather see ya all next time. 😊😊

Well some weekends go your way some don't, the joys of kart racing. 😳😳😳

Saturday practice went fine all our drivers showed good pace all day so we were heading into Sunday on a positive note.

Sunday well this is where it all unravels,

Cadets:

Darren #26 started of with great pace getting 3rd 4th and 3rd in heats. Then in race lost a bit of engine power that pushed him back to 6th but over all still a brilliant performance. 👏👏

Ryan #20 stuck his head down stayed out of trouble all weekend coming in 8th overall in final. 😊

This is where I begins to slide down hill.

Mini Max

Ella #31 had a frustrating 3 heats trying to get pass on William Brazier just could not find a way passed. In the final with a mixture of frustration and red mist managed to pass William through a gap that wasn't really there. Thankfully William was ok ☺️☺️ So in the end got a 5 second penalty dropping her back down to 4th.

Junior max

Jude #80 had another steady weekend showed great pace all weekend with steady lap times. In the final sadly trying to avoid Darcy who spun he clipped her bumper and spun as well. So ended up 2 laps down in final

Darcy #27

Had great pace all weekend but again got caught up with Matilda Brazier in all heats. Just could not make a pass and again in frustration and red mist tried to pass in a closing gap and contacted Matilda making her lose position to back of pack in heat 2. Then in final spun on the second lap got going right away again but was too far behind pack so settled for 5th place.

So in a nut shell it wasn't the best of weekend's. But being in a sport where a inch to far can spell disaster and where nobody gives a inch the inevitable can happen. But what happens on the track stays on the track and thankfully nobody was harmed in the process.

It will probably be our last race of the session for our wee team.

So we would like to thank the North of Scotland kart club committee and marshals for another brilliant years racing 👏 😁😁 We would also like to thank all the competitors we have raced all session through the highs and lows of motorsport and we look forward to seeing you all next year 😁😁😁
