Due to the damage we will be operating at shortened hours until we can get a new screen installed. We will run from 10am-8pm(Last rental in by 8pm)

To rent you can text 306-575-6623 with the item number and the duration and I will unlock remotely.

Unfortunately we are closed for the rest of today. Sometime between 3pm and 4:15pm today somebody smashed our screen.

I am incredibly saddened by this as the rental screen will be completely useless until we can get a replacement.

I will plan to reopen tomorrow with etransfer. You will have to contact me to rent. 306-575-6623.

Monday July 14 - ⚠️‼️our card reader is currently down!

We will be installing the new programming for the kiosk this week, which will simplify the return process and no longer require your credit card upon return. We have also figured out how to remove the preauthorization. These two things combined will help alleviate the remaining few issues we are experiencing at the kiosk.

We will update once everything is back up and running, in the meantime if you’d like to rent please call or text 306-575-6623, and I will remotely unlock items upon receipt of an etransfer.

‼️‼️⚠️⚠️UPDATE: We are unable to resolve our card reader issue until Monday. We have a fix but the programming will not be complete until next week.

I will turn the machine back on and allow rentals, however please note that you are accepting the $99 pre auth charge by doing so. If you want to rent and cant do the preauth charge— please call and we will accept an etransfer.

We are sorting out a glitch, the card reader is preauthorizing people’s credit cards several times while trying to return their rental items.

We will re-open once we can get this to stop happening.

The card company is saying the pre auth’s will come off after 5 business days, but we have no way to monitor this from our end, or to reach out to you!

Located at Little Kenosee Lake in Moose Mountain Provincial Park

Here’s some things you need to know for our unmanned rental kiosks!

🔸you need a credit card or debit card or Apple Pay
🔹you must be over 18, or be accompanied by someone who is
🔸there several life jacket sizes in every locker
🔹the paddles for the kayaks are in the lockers
🔸DO NOT LOCK THE CARD YOU USED TO RENT IN THE LOCKER, you need it to return and open the locker back up.
🔹your card will be preauthorized for $99 in case you are late to return. It will charge you for an extra hour if you are 1 minute after the time you chose. Once the rental is closed off on return only the rental amount will be charged
🔸be sure to lock everything back up where it belongs
🔹 Be Safe & Have fun!!!!!

The Kayak Shack at Little Kenosee is officially open for the 2025 season!

We have an all new card reader and updated programming and things seem to be working as they should.

We may encounter a few glitches along the way but thankfully the new company we are dealing with has excellent customer support and fixes these glitches fairly quickly.

Thanks to all for your continued support(and patience) as we try to get this system running without issue.

*May Long Weekend Notice*

The kayak shack is not open for the long weekend! We anticipated poor weather and are taking this weekend to do our maintenance on the technical side. We appreciate that the weather improved and many of you are eager to get on the water, however we needed the time to be running our updates.

I understand some rentals were working at different points throughout the day today, but not all.

Hello kayak/paddleboard/canoe community!

We are well into our summer season at the kayak shack, and unfortunately some of the issues that we were having last year are still happening. Our tech team is working on it and we are really close to having a solution. We have all the things here except the new programming software to make all of those things work together.

Frustratingly, while they are working on this I have no remote access to manually rent items as I did last year when the card reader went down.

I understand this service is well used and appreciated and we are doing our best to accommodate every rental that comes through.

We appreciate every person that has supported our business over the last 2 summers and been so understanding of all of the issues we have been having. Please stick with us just a little longer to resolve all of these issues!
