First tournament of the year today. The boys were great, the first tournament of the year is always hard. Five matches in a day is hard especially for some of our younger guys. I’m proud of the work we did, what we are building and how we finished the day.

We ended up with four 3rd place winners.

Want some extra mat time? Come to Bryce Eickhoff's Wrestling Camp on Wednesday, April 9th.
In three years as a varsity wrestler, Byrce has accumulated over 100 career wins and this past season broke the single season win total record and went 2-2 at the WIAA State Wrestling tournament.

Our 2025 DHS Wrestlers had a great season, with 2 wrestlers making it to State, and our very own Sam Haines making it up on the podium! 👏

Words can't express the amount of gratitude that goes out to everyone in our community for this past season. This past weekend, we sent two wrestlers to the Kohl Center. Both won multiple matches and we had our first state place winner since Cal Hanson in 2017. This whole season we were fortunate to have great support. From our tee shirt fundraiser, to our home quads, the Deerfield Scramble, our post season run, and everything in between it has truly been a fantastic season. If I tried to mention everyone who played a role in this season, I would miss someone for sure because there was so many.

I do want to mention just a few. Bryce and Xavier...Thank you! You two are the foundation for our program. The influence you have had on our team the last four years is unmatched. The program cannot thank you two enough. We are excited to see where you two go in life and how much you accomplish. Troy, Lynette, Amanda, and Berto thank you so much for letting us coach these two awesome young men. You have done a great job raising them and leading them to success. Andy Grosvold...you're the Godfather. This program wouldn't be the same without you. Last but not least, our two senior managers...Lauryn and Ella. You have no idea how much work you two took away from the coaches the past three seasons. Just being able to hand you two the cameras, iPads, scorebook, etc and knowing that you two are going to take care of everything, that's awesome! Thank you two!

I will update everyone on our awards night when it gets schedule. We are also working on changing up next year's schedule a bit.
