FROM JEREMY:
Usually words just roll off my tongue when I have something I want to say but today, I find myself almost speechless.
Olleanna has been sold and has a wonderful new owner, a Canadian from Vancouver, who will campaign her in the next Golden Globe Race in 2026. In early August I sailed her from Les Sables d'Olonne to her temporary home at Les Ports de l'Atlantique (www.placedeport.fr) near Frossay on the Loire River where she is now stored ashore until the new owner can get to France to take delivery of her.
Olleanna was a big part of my life for the last 4 years and saying farewell was a bittersweet moment. It had to happen so I can move on with my future projects but that doesn't make it any easier. We experienced so much together from the rebuild to the sail from Cape Town to France and then the lap around the world. There were many, many more good times than bad ones and the good ones will live on in my memory forever.
I could not have made the start or finish lines without the help and support of so many amazing people, some of whom follow this page. I want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you. If I was able to make even the smallest positive contribution to the furthering of anyone's adventures and instilling of wanderlust, then I consider my work here done!
I will leave this specific page up but will not be active on it unless there is a really good reason.
Thank you once again for all the support,
Jeremy
