TMap - Timor GIS & Mapping Solutions TMap is a Timorese company, established in 2011, specializing in provision of mapping services to the development community.

The following examples illustrate the 4 main kinds of work TMap does - building technical capacity, publishing maps and atlases, conducting scientific studies, and organizing events for Timor-Leste GIS and mapping community.

- Training in mapping land cover and meteorological data at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (June – July 2015);

- Designing and compiling the first Timorese childr

en Atlas for the Ministry of Education (January 2014 to August 2015);

- Conducting a risk mapping study for CARE and UNDP (February – April, 2015); and

- Organizing and hosting the 2013 Timor-Leste GIS and Mapping Expo for Geographic Information Group (July – November 2013)

TMap is currently working with World Bank and Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to map variations in malnutrition rates. Also mapping underlying causes of malnutrition to try to get a better understanding of why it's a bigger problem in some parts of the country than in others.
