跟著比你快的人練,不一定讓你進步。

這句話很多老車手懂,但沒有人說破。

跟快車手練的邏輯是:觀察他的煞車點、走線、出彎時機,然後複製。但問題是——當差距大到一定程度,你「看到」的只有他的背影。他在哪裡煞車?你不知道。他在哪裡開油?你已經落後半個彎道了。你能學到的,只有挫折感。

運動心理學裡有個概念叫「可學習差距」(Optimal Challenge Zone):對手太強,超出理解範圍,你的大腦會進入防禦模式,而不是學習模式。反而是跟比你快一點點的人練——快到你要拚盡全力才跟得上,慢到你還看得見他在做什麼決策——這個區間才是進步最快的地方。

所以問題不是「要不要跟快的人練」,而是「跟快多少的人練?」

找到那個讓你每一圈都要逼自己、但每一圈都還能學到東西的對手。那才是真正的訓練夥伴。

Riding with faster riders doesn't always make you faster.

Every experienced racer knows this. Few actually say it out loud.

The logic makes sense: follow a faster rider, observe their braking points, lines, and throttle timing — then copy it. But here's the problem — when the gap is too big, all you're following is their exhaust. Where did they brake? You don't know. Where did they open the throttle? You were already half a corner behind. The only thing you absorb is frustration.

There's a concept in sports psychology called the Optimal Challenge Zone: when your opponent is too far ahead, it exceeds your processing range — your brain shifts into survival mode, not learning mode. But when you ride with someone just slightly faster than you — fast enough to force your absolute best effort, slow enough that you can still read what decisions they're making — that's where the fastest improvement happens.

So the real question isn't "should I ride with faster riders?" It's "how much faster?"

Find the opponent who pushes you every single lap, but still lets you learn every single lap. That's the training partner that actually moves the needle.

最快的車手,不是油門擰最猛的那個。

賽道上有一個最容易被忽略的技術:你的眼睛看哪裡。

英國 BSB 超級摩托車賽曾做過一個眼球追蹤實驗,把追蹤眼鏡裝在新手、中階和職業車手頭盔裡,結果差異大到離譜——職業車手的視線永遠鎖定在前方遠處,流暢地從煞車點掃到彎心再到出彎口,幾乎不回頭確認。而新手?眼睛死盯著前輪前面五公尺的地面,每個彎都在「發現」彎心,反應永遠慢半拍。

這就是為什麼有些人明明車子一樣、輪胎一樣,圈速卻差好幾秒。

道理很簡單:你的車會跟著你的視線走。眼睛看哪裡,油門和傾角就會自動跟上。看得越遠,大腦就有越多時間處理資訊,身體的反應就越從容。反過來,視線一掉,恐懼感馬上上來,速度跟著掉,整個節奏就斷了。

下次上賽道,與其想著怎麼擰更多油門,不如試試:把頭抬起來,眼睛看向彎道的出口。你會發現,速度是「看」出來的,不是「催」出來的。

The fastest rider isn't the one who twists the throttle hardest.

There's one skill on track that's criminally underrated: where your eyes look.

A British Superbike eye-tracking study fitted tracking glasses inside helmets of a novice, an intermediate, and a professional rider. The difference was staggering — the pro's gaze was always locked far ahead, smoothly sweeping from braking marker to apex to exit, never second-guessing. The novice? Eyes glued to the ground five metres ahead of the front wheel, "discovering" each apex too late, always a half-beat behind.

That's why two riders on the same bike, same tyres, can be seconds apart in lap time.

The principle is simple: your bike follows your eyes. Where you look, throttle and lean angle follow naturally. The further ahead you look, the more time your brain has to process, and the calmer your body responds. The moment your gaze drops, fear creeps in, speed drops, and your rhythm falls apart.

Next time you're on track, instead of thinking about more throttle, try this: lift your head and look at the corner exit. You'll find that speed comes from seeing, not just sending.

1970 年代,一個叫 Rollin "Molly" Sanders 的設計師,替 Yamaha 美國畫出了一排方塊圖案——後來大家叫它 Speed Block。Kenny Roberts 騎著黃黑色的 Yamaha 橫掃三屆世界冠軍,讓這個圖騰變成賽車界的代名詞。

In the 1970s, a designer named Rollin "Molly" Sanders created a row of blocky graphics for Yamaha USA — what the world now knows as the Speed Block. Kenny Roberts carried it in yellow and black to three consecutive world championships, turning a pattern into a legend.

The red and white version became Yamaha's European racing identity. The limited-edition 1999 YZF-R7 elevated that colourway to icon status — and it still lives rent-free in every fan's head. 別人大補油門拉開差距的時候,Mason 能做的就是把身體壓到最低,減少每一寸風阻,用趴的換速度。

但賽道從來不是只比排氣量的地方。
走線、煞車點、出彎時機——這些是排氣量買不到的東西。能用 160cc 站上跟 300cc 一樣的起跑線,本身就是一種態度。

不是每個人都有最快的車,但每個人都可以選擇上場。

On the straights, there's no magic. Just physics.
When the bigger bikes pull away on pure power, all Mason can do is tuck in as tight as possible, shaving every bit of drag, trading body position for speed.

But a racetrack was never just about displacement.
Lines, braking points, corner exits — these are things cubic centimeters can't buy. Showing up on a 160cc against 300cc machines is already a statement.

Not everyone has the fastest bike. But everyone can choose to line up.

浴火重生,第 N 次了。

上次在賽道上的碰撞,車倒了,零件散了,但人沒事。修車的那幾週,每天看著躺在車庫裡的 Ninja 400,心裡其實不只是心疼——更多的是迫不及待想再回去。

現在它回來了。傷後調校中,恢復程度 90%。

不到 100%?沒關係。賽車就是這樣。身上沒點傷,車身沒點刮痕,怎麼體現出豐富的戰鬥經歷?那些傷不是失敗的證明,是你真的去拼過的證明。

賽道是殘酷的,但它從不說謊。每一次摔車,都逼著你重新去理解自己、理解那台車。爬起來,修好它,再回去——這才是賽車手的循環。

這台 Ninja 400,承載的不只是零件,是每一次滑倒後重新握緊油門的決心。

Arnold 和他的新歡——Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR——在賽車場上,今天是屬於他們兩個的時光。

我們俱樂部裡大多是有正職工作的中年大叔。有人管團隊,有人管帳,有人管一家老小。平日西裝筆挺,或者對著螢幕開一整天的會。但只要週末到了,安全帽戴上,手套拉緊,那些身份就統統留在停車場。

油門轉開的那一刻,什麼 deadline、什麼報告、什麼老闆,都跑不過你。

Arnold 騎著那台 RR,在直道上拉開油門、在彎道裡壓低身子的樣子——那不是中年大叔,那是當年死愛重機的熱血少年,一個都沒有變。

這就是我們騎車的原因。不是為了證明什麼,只是因為那個感覺,其他地方找不到。

The moment you throw a leg over, age doesn't matter anymore.

Arnold and his new obsession — the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR — had the circuit to themselves today. And it showed.

Most of us in this club are middle-aged guys with real lives. Careers, families, responsibilities stacked up by the week. Monday to Friday, we're managers, accountants, engineers, fathers. But the weekend comes around, the helmet goes on, and all of that stays in the car park.

Because the moment that throttle opens, nothing from your daily life can keep up.

Watching Arnold lean into the corners today, you wouldn't see a guy with deadlines and meetings waiting for him on Monday. You'd see the same kid who fell in love with motorcycles years ago — still there, still going, not a single bit faded.

That's why we ride. Not to prove anything. Just because this feeling doesn't exist anywhere else.

車主 Chris 最近把他的 Yamaha MT-10 帶上了賽車場,證明一件事:這台車從來就不是只能在街上晃的。

MT-10 的引擎血統直接來自 YZF-R1,CP4 四缸引擎搭配 270 度點火曲軸,那個低頻咆哮一出來,賽道上的人都知道——這不是普通街車。

更厲害的是那套 Öhlins 半主動電子避震系統。平常在街上騎?A 模式自動調阻尼,吸震舒適,濾掉路面雜訊。進賽道了?M 模式手動鎖定硬設定,彈指切換,懸吊整個繃起來,入彎姿態直接不同。道路設定跟賽道設定,就是這麼簡單。

Street clothes, track soul — that's the MT-10 in a nutshell.

Chris brought his Yamaha MT-10 to the circuit, and it didn't disappoint.

The engine is pure R1 DNA — same CP4 inline-four, same 270° crossplane crank with that low, addictive growl. Yamaha tuned it for real-world use, which means the torque hits earlier and harder than the R1, and on track, it just keeps pulling.

What really stood out? The Öhlins semi-active electronic suspension. Street mode keeps it plush and compliant for daily riding. Flip it to a manual track setting, and the whole bike firms up — sharper feedback through corners, more confidence under braking. Two completely different characters, same bike, switched in seconds from the dash.

Chris ran it well. The MT-10 delivered. 😤
